  1. Hello all, I'm asking for advice on behalf of a friend who had bought a Plasma TV 14 months ago having paid £1600 and its now completely stopped working. I have read excerpts of the sale of goods act and I reckon the advice the retailer gave them "that as the 12 month warranty was over so therefore they would have to pay for repairs or purchase a new one" was a load of bunkum. Could somebody point me in the right direction as to where I may get advice on the wording of a letter to pass on to my friend so that they can approach the retailer with it. Thanks.
