  1. Has anyone had any dealings with HM? They are an absolute nightmare, they are threatening and rude and just wondered if anyone had had any dealings with them and course of action, thanks LL
  2. Yes it is me they are looking for but have no idea why! I do have a cash genie loan and am paying them direct, havent had any correspondence from them to say they were handing it over, but then I guess I wouldnt be surprised eh! Thanks guys
  3. I have received over the weekend a letter from the above addressed to THE OCCUPIER saying... We are trying to locate XXX who we are led to believe lives or lived at this address. As we are unable to confirm details we are writing for assistance before appointing a doorstep collections agency or bailiff to visit the premises. Any assistance please call this number blah blah blah Are these guy PD loan chasers? What shall I do with the letter? Thanks LL
  4. Thanks for the info guys, I have definitely kept all my paperwork and copie of letters sent to them along with the recorded delivery numbers so I will scour my files, photocopy it all and sent to the FSA and OFT - what them burn in hell!!!!
  5. This debt has now been passed to their partners in crime MERITFORCE. Had the relevant letters sent to me despite telling Muck Hall that I have no memory of these debts and that they are SB anyway, but no they carried onto ignore my letters, even wrote to me asking me to give them a call to discuss - I don't think so! Any hooooo, got the letters from MF threatening me with doorstep collection if I didnt ring or pay up! I rang them last night, told them I was fed up with receiving threatening DCA letters for someone that no longer lived here! Talk about rude! The woman tried to talk over me time and time again, tried to interrupt, basically told me to bin the letters saying no one would turn up anyway! When I did finally get the chance to speak I told her that I had returned all previous letters and marked "not known at this address" and she stated that it was impossible as they had only just taken over the account blah blah blah, and I said they were from Muck Hall who she said they were nothing to do with them! Oh yes you are I replied! She basically told me to ignore the letters and throw them away, don't bother returning them or wasting your money on spending on the postage, no one will turn up! she was very rude and shouted over me down the phone and this was only over a few letters, god knows what she would be like if she was trying to get money out of you!
  6. Yep that was certainly something along my reply........ and I will take you to court for fraudulent standing orders and excessive charges!
  7. BRING IT ON I SAY LOL! They can take me to court, they can then explain their fraudulent Standing Orders and their excessive charges LOL!!!
  8. This was their reply............... We will not be responsible for any charges from your bank. As stated in my email below, the standing order you have signed is a method you have made available to us. We are not willing to accept £5 every two weeks, unless you contact us before close of business tomorrow which is 5pm with a reasonable offer we can accept court proceedings will commence.
  9. The account they are trying to take the money out of has £20 max in at anyone time as that is not my salary account, you see I wasnt that stupid when taking out the loan..... I sent them this today... Balance owed £300. Minus charges of £38.00 ; £35.00; £28.00; as per my recent emailing showing you the charges I am receiving because you tried to take £300 from my account! This leaves a balance of £161 (£300 original loan minus £139 in charges). Minus payments: 19/08 - £5.00 04/09 - £5.00 05/10 - £5.00 19/10 - £5.00 This therefore leaves a balance of £141.00 - this will be paid £5 two weekly until cleared. If you attempt a further standing order and I incurr further charges, this will be deducted from the original balance owed. What I don't understand is WHY are you attempting to take £300 from my account when I do not owe that! DO NOT try and call me at work and pretend you are someone else as you will not be put through - I have already received a warning about having personal calls at work and this will not be tolerated Yours faithfully
  10. They have tried to set up another SO taking the money at the end of October - cottoning on to them now, have cancelled it LOL!!
  11. I received a warning default notice letter that gives me until 2nd Nov to cough up! I am paying them £5 every other week on a £100 loan with their £24 interest plus their charges of £137 which I am about to dispute. How do I go about getting this DN stopped???
  12. Can someone please help me re this.... http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/payday-loans/227581-tower-capital-default-notice.html I need to get a reply in the post asap especially with all the strikes going on, thanks LL
  13. Just to also add to this I have paid £30 off the £124 owed so far so they are trying to add the charges and issue Default Notice when I have been paying this back!
  14. I am assuming that the charges are for late payment fees etc., as the balance of £124 was due end of July and I didnt pay it Would the details of the charges be given on the typed up warning of the DN? Can I send them a letter telling them the account is in dispute as I think the charges are unlawful? Will that stop the DN being issued (if there is one!) as I don't want another one added to my credit file - assuming they will add this.
  15. When I got home last night I had received a letter sent 2nd class threatening me with a Default Notice for a loan I have with TC. Given that I am paying this around £10 a month (£5 two weekly - though have not stuck to that rigidly) they have now sent me this. Its a typed up Default Notice on A4 paper asking me to READ THIS CAREFULLY! The original loan was for £100 with charges of £24, I then defaulted so they slapped further charges of £261. The letter basically says that I have until 2nd Nov to clear arrears or they will hit me with a DN. Can they do this first off given their interest rates etc., etc., and I am paying them back at a rate I can afford, so can they do that as well? Any help greatly appreciated, I know that there is a strike today but would like to get something off to them in the post to tell them where they can stick their potential DN! Thanks LL
  16. They are nothing short of useless I can tell you!! I sent them a snotty email telling them to stop calling me at work and they replied and said that they were not calling me as my debt had been passed to a DCA - well funnily enough, I recall they have an internal DCA, also quoted them the telephone number, have now just had an email asking for my mobile number so they can identify me, funny how the guys surname is nastasio!!! Wonder if that is made up or not LOL!!! Are we able to get the unlawful charges removed by going down the same process as you do with the banks and credit cards?
  17. These TXT LOAN people are a nightmare, they ring your mobile and land line and work numbers time and time again, and ignore requests to set up standing orders!
  18. This is their reply - help in responded would be appreciated as my reply won't be polite!!......When the loan was taken out with us you signed 3 forms one which was a standing order mandate which you signed and left blank, also an authorisation form was signed by youself. The authorisation form clearly states if you default in any of your payment we can clear your account with any methods you have made avaiable to us. The first method would be your debit card and the second is a standing order mandate. The balance on your account is XXX Plus charges, we have received 3 payments of £5 a month from yourself via standing order however this isnt a payment we would be able to accept without a financial statement. They will continue to try to clear your account and if you are occuring charges unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this as your account is still in serious default. We have been trying to contact you. We have tryed to contact on your mobile and home telephone number also have sent you letters. We need to sort your account urgently. Many Thanks Well my reply would be something along the lines of: Firstly, how DARE you call me at work and secondly, how dare you impersonate someone from NatWest when you are clearly NOT calling from said company. I would also like to state that I did NOT signed endless copies of a standing order form and having spoken to my bank, they have said that only ONE standing order can be used/presented, given that I have confirmed to my bank that I have only ever signed ONE which was presented and stopped at the end of August. You cannot continue to present the same SO month after month when there has not been a newly signed SO. Ok so something along those lines, so any further comments greatly appreciated, thanks
  19. Well luckily I set up a SO for an account I do not use, so there is always minimal amount in this account LOL!! They have just called me at work after receiving my email saying she is TRACY from NATWEST!!!! How dare she say this surely that must be a claim in itself???? I told her that she wasnt allowed to say she was from NATWEST and she said "I didnt think you would want us calling you at work saying we were a loan company"!!! FLAMING CHEEK!!!!
  20. Due to these cowboys attempting to take £300 from my account from a fraudulently set up SO, I am now incurring charges in excess of £100! I have printed off the charges statement from my bank and emailed Debit Card Loans with the details telling them I am taking this off the balance - let's see what they say about that then!!!
  21. I got home last night and received one of their letters about threats and bailiffs etc., this duly got ripped up and went in the bin! Funnily enough this SO has prompted a letter from NatWest thanking me for setting this up! Given I have set up loads of SO I have never ever received a confirmation letter from NW until this one arrived - they will soooooo be getting a snot o gram reply! Am tempted to move my account as well, had a £10 charge on my account for a stopped cheque today, turns out it was in error!!! Do these guys actually know the ar*e from their elbow? I think not!
  22. Basically I am paying voluntary so that I do not get hit with another CCJ as I agreed to part of the debt just not all of it. And yes your assumption above is correct, thanks for replying
  23. Update........... I have been paying this debt at £30 per month given that there is no legal obligation for me to pay this (CCJ was set aside), the Courts actually told me that I didnt need to pay unless they got a further CCJ set against me. Anyway, I missed a payment last month due to my son starting secondary school and far too much money being spent on uniform etc. etc., etc. I have now received a letter from them threatening me with legal action if I dont pay this £30! I feel like writing back and telling them to get lost given there is no CCJ and therefore I am paying this off my own back and not because I have to! Clearly I cannot just tell them to get stuffed as much as I would like to as it might prompt them into getting another CCJ against me, however, is there a letter I can send them to tell them to politely get lost given they do not hold anything on me to pay this as the CCJ was set aside? I also need to know how much of this debt needs to be paid off as approx £6k was interest and the debt is now double the original offer! The pages were scanned in but no one has come back to me unfortunately so any help greatly appreciated, thanks LL
