  1. Hi Bona, thanks for the advice. We already have solicitors involved but they are unable to do anything, either by getting her to sell house or contribute to mortgage payments. She wont allow anyone to live in the property either so renting it out is unfortunately not an option.
  2. I already posted the message above on another thread, but i thought it would probably be easier to start a new one. any advice would be really appreciated.
  3. Hi I've just been reading this thread and I wonder if I could ask some questions as I am experiencing a similar situation. My partner had a house that is jointly owned and mortgaged with his ex-partner. Since they have split up, they have both moved out of the property so it is now empty. He had been paying the mortgage every month in full by himself, but now he is having to pay for accommodation elsewhere he can no longer afford to pay the full monthly amount. His ex refuses to make any contributions towards the mortgage and also refuses to sell the property. So the house now faces being repossessed , which as far as we can see, is being forced on him. Is there anything we can do? Can he portect himself in anyway from being blacklisted when it comes to applying for future finance? We dont have enough time before it gets repossessed to get a court order to sell the property. And if the house is reposessed, if there is any equity left over and bearing in mind he can prove that he has made all the mortgage payments, can he claim more than 50% of the left over equity. They aren't married but they do have one child. Would be interesting to get some advice. many thanks.
