Last month my DD for the minimum payment to my Egg card failed. I knew this was going to happen and paid the account by alternative means by the date due so the account was not in arrears. Egg still charged me £20 for the failed DD. I have sent them several secure messages about it. Their latest reply: I now want to take this further but together with a previous charge of £20 this only amounts to £40. Will they take this seriously if I say I'm going to claim for such a small amount?
