  1. Hi Glitterlady, I currently have an ongoing Medical Negligence case and have used the following no win no fee solicitors. i have found them very good especially when other firms wouldn't take on my case, I'm now at the stage of agreeing a settlement with the NHS trust. i have attached a link if you want to have a look at them, No Win No Fee, Watermans are Scotland's Leading Personal Injury Firm Best of luck
  2. Hi all, could someone point me in the right direction for the statue barred letter for Scotland. I have started receiving calls from capquest even though I have wrote to them telling them all communication must be in writing and not to call, I have refused to answer any security questions and told them to stop calling me. The debt in question hasn't been acknowledged or paid since feb 2005 therefore is statue barred and would like to tell them to put it in their pipe and smoke it. Thanks in advance
  3. Hi unclebulgaria67, I will try obtain the V5 doc however as there is some contention within the family I may not be able to get them before the insurance grace period runs out. If I can't get a hold of them can I obtain insurance until I'm in possession of the V5 docs?
  4. Hi, Any help with this question would be appreciated, My father passed away last week and I'm a named driver on his car insurance. I have been driving the car for the last 6 months due to his illness and have been advised I have a 14 day grace period where the insurance still stands with Saga, however after this the policy lapses. He has left the car to me in his will however it will not be executed before the 14 day grace period runs out. Can i possibly insure the car for a short period if I'm not the registered owner or keeper? Thanks in advance
  5. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows the answer to this question, My father passed away last week and was the registered owner and keeper of his car. I was on his insurance policy as an additional driver. As he has passed away is the insurance still valid and am I still ok to drive the car? Thanks in advance.
  6. Thanks everyone for you feedback, does anyone have any experience with LED TV's?
  7. All, Looking for some knowledgeable recommendation on which TV format is best LCD, Plasma or LED? I don't have a high definition box yet however will be getting one in a couple of months times, have Blue ray player and will be connecting my PS3. I'm looking ideally for 37 to 40 inch set. Thanks in advance for any help
  8. EON are doing exactly the same, my understanding is they changed the T&C which affected customers that had already signed up as in my case. I totally disagree with this practice in principal as like many other i pay up front for my energy and haven't asked for any credit facility with EON. Next I fully expect my paperboys records to start appearing on my CRA files! http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/utilities-gas-electricity-water/193553-eon-clearer-terms-condtions.html
  9. Hi, Look at my earlier thread on EON, I now believe they all do the same. I'm a bit annoyed by it especially if you are paying them in advance and they are holding your money and I haven't asked them for credit so why should they be recording info on my credit file. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/utilities-gas-electricity-water/193553-eon-clearer-terms-condtions.html
  10. Hi, I was wondering if someone could answer this question for me please. If you have a default balance on your credit file which is correctly there say registered on Jan 2005 and no payments have been made since. If you were to make a full payment today would the default history come off your file in Jan 2011 or would it be there for 6 years after you had cleared the balance? Thanks in advance
  11. Hi Insuranceguy, I have been ill for the last 3.5 years and went through 4 life threatening operations, I have one more corrective procedure to go early next year. My employer has group income protection policy which has been paying me 60% of my salary up until now. They have now informed my employer that I have been deemed fit to hold down a part time, flexi hour office job. This was never my position with my employer my contract position included 70% of time on world wide travel. Needless to say my employer doesn't have a position available which would suit plus I can't guarantee my hours of work due to my illness. I have requested a copy of my consultants latest report to them however haven't seen this to date. I definitely don't feel I am able to return to work at this present time in any shape or form and plan to fight this all the way. Hope that gives you a better understanding any advise would be greatly apperciated.
