  3. Hi all, Just enquiring on behalf of a friend. He had an 18 month contract with vodaphone which ended 2 months ago as the phone broke towards the end of the contract he signed a new contract with another network and continued to pay the remainding few bills with vodaphone. As he is quite young he was unawre that he had to give vodaphone notice that once the contract had ended he wanted it cancelled. Instead he just cancelled the direct debit. Since then he received 2 further bills and as he has not paid them it has been passed to a collection agency. Where does he stand? He
  4. Hi all, Its been a while since my last post....I sucessfully reclaimed charges from several credit cards and bank accounts well over a year ago and have not had problems since until now. I opened a new joint A&L Account last year but had not started using the account as I was getting married and changing jobs then it was Christmas etc etc. In Feb when I got my statement I noticed a charge of £5 for an underfunding fee, at this point there was £2.27 in the account which took the account to £2.73 overdrawn. However on top of this they had also then charged me £5 per day for be
  5. My brother is in exactly the same position and his balloon of £2700 is due in March. The problem with my bro is that even though he has never missed a payment the lease company don't do car finance anymore and he can't go elsewhre as he has a CCJ and is now self employed. I would assume that they would credit check you but im not 100% sure. On the HP agreement it states: If you have paid at least one third "The owner (finance company) may not take back the goods against your will unless it gets a court order. Hope this helps.
  6. My brother has had a car on HP through an independent company for the last 3 years. The final "balloon" payment of £2700 is due in March but he hasn't got it. The company Haydock Finance no longer do car finance so can't refinance the balloon. nor will he be able to get credit elsewhere as he has a CCJ. He has never missed any payments on his car finance in the whole 3 years. On the HP agreement in states: If you have paid at least one third (which he has) "The owner (finance company) may not take back the goods against your will unless it gets a court order. So does this mean he ca

  8. The background is a bit tricky but I will try to explain it as best I can. I had a Natwest loan and Natwest current account which I defualted on in 2002. It was transferred to their credit recovery centre where I made monthly payments up until February last year which is when I settled the accounts in full. At the time it was transferred back in 2002 I had accrued penalty charges of £1200. On checking my latest credit report it shows that the current account was defaulted in Feb 2006 with a defualt amount of £87 and the loan account was defualted for £64 also in Feb 2006. I was not
  9. Hi, I have now accepted full and final settlement against Natwest and have received the money. However 3 months on I have checked my credit report and there are 3 defaulted accounts: 1 Current a/c, 1 credit card and 1 loan. All of these show up as defaulted which doesn't do my credit file any favours. How do I go about getting them removed? Thanks
  10. Hi, My brother has battled with Lloyds over the past 6 months and eventually received a full settlement offer for £1000 2 months ago. Everthing has been fine until this month when a cheque which he payed into his account didn't clear in time and on 1 day they returned 3/4 direct debits and have charged him £160 for the privelage. He is furious. He has spoken to cutomer services and even his branch manager but they will not refund anyhting. Could he start the whole claim process again? Any ideas please Thanks
  11. Hi I am at the final stages with my claim against Natwest for £1800 and yesterday received my notice of trial. Attached to it was a Judgement order. I am very concereded about comments which state: IT IS ORDERED THAT: " Claimant's claims for repayment of charges/fees incurred prior to 12th September are hereby struck out being as pleaded in defence outside of limitation period" All of my charges were before this date which means I could get nothing? It says on the top of the form that If I object to this order I must make an application to have it set aside, varied or stayed
  12. I have already accepted the offer and cancelled legal proceedings and was only noitfied aftwerwards on how they intend to pay me the money.
