please i need an advise from you all today i look on my equifax credit report to find out NTL have issue me with a default in september last year 2006 i was with NTL last year until i requested for my line to be closed down, however i had some outstanding payment to make with them so theY agreed for me to pay them regularly until the payment is clear. when i called NTl today i was made inform that they issue a default in my name in september because i havent pay them the money regularly and that i still have an outstanding money to pay on the default, which i paid today and it is now settled, but they are refusing to take the default off my file, even thought i have been making a regular payment till september 2006 when the default was issue i have asked them why i didnt received no letter that a default was going to be issue to me and they say they dont have to send me a letter they can issue it without letting me know is that true? can anyone advise me in what to do to get this default off my name or if i have a good reason for this to be done. sorry to go on. can the mod please put this thread somewhere else if it is not in the right place. thank you all so much in advance

Got a letter from cap1 dated the 13th july offering me £164 back has a goodwill gesture the differance between the charges and £12 that the oft stated. they also have KINDLY reminded me that has my account has defaulted that the debt has been passed to capquest....It seems that they dont realise its because of them and there excruciating charges that caused this in the first place.. Can anyone help me out in regards of what to put in a letter to them has i will not be accepting that offer, has a closure of this complaint has they put it. Thanks shozie.
