  1. Hi Guys, For some strange reason I rent a few electrical items from Boxclever. After being made redundant, I have fallen into two months arrears. They have been helpful in the past, but not this time. They issued a Default Notice which gave me 14 days to pay (which expired 8th August) but then on 30th July I got a letter from TSR saying that I was now liable to purchase the equipment at what seems like a very exaggerated price. I have no intention of buying the equipment am happy to pay what I owe and want to return the equipment. I'm assuming that I should make this a formal complaint could someone just look over this letter for me and make sure I haven't made any glaring errors? Thanks. Dear Sir, Further to various correspondence received from yourselves and TSR, I am writing to formally complain about your conduct. Whilst I acknowledge my arrears, I have no intention of being forced to purchase equipment at a random price set by TSR. I would be grateful if you could arrange collection of all equipment as soon as possible and cease any further hire charges. Yours ..................
  2. Right, had an agreement with this shower to pay £50 per month on 24th of each month. They took Mays as ususal. Then on 26th and 27th, they took OVER £500 in bits and Bobs. They claim this is because the payment agreement was not ongoing and was not renewed. In a word, HELP
  3. No, we're not getting anything at the moment. Just feel like my family has to come first. At least for the next six months or so anyway. I'll still be working, just less money for better hours
  4. Any thoughts on the above posting ?
  5. Thanks guys, Actually, I would be changing jobs rather than voluntarily making myself unemployed. I was hoping that this would make a difference and mean no time lapse before benefits kicked in. Any Thoughts on that ? Rashley
  6. Thanks for that. ANy idea what 'Big Brothers' view would be though ? I would be voluntarily lowering my wage and relying on Working Tax Credits, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit. Would I be eligible in these circumstances ?
  7. Hi Guys, Posted this on a different forum and someone suggested this may be a better place. Worth a try. " Hi GUys, Not sure I'm in the right place but here goes. Last year, I was made redundant and spent 6 months out of work. I found a job, which I have been doing now for two months. The salary is hugh enough to take me out of any form of benefit. I have now been offered another job. The salary is MUCH lower and would put me back into the WTC, HB, CTB bracket. However, it is something I would prefer to do, much closer to home (as in five minutes away, rather than two hours each way), and would make my family life VERY VERY VERY much easier. (I have four kids, one with night terrors that have been going on for three months. This means getting up 4 or 5 times a night. Believe me, you have no idea..... Two questions; Ignoring morals, how would the 'authorities' view my decision to lower my wage through choice ? Would there be a problem with claiming these benefits ? What would you do ? Happy family life with not much money or NO family life with a little bit more money. By the way, I haven't just had enough of work. I have no intention of sitting at home. This would just make our life so much easier for the next six months or so, until all the kids are at school/nursery, and (hopefully) the night terrors have sorted themselves out. After that, back to the Rat Race. Thanks. Rashley"
  8. Spayed? Not sure I lnow a vet who would be willing to take that on !!! Thanks for the comments.

Hi Guys, Finally rec'd a reply (after being told that they didn't have to produce a CCA until we paid the balance in full !!) From what I can make out, the debt is now entireley unenforcable in law, and if we wanted to cause a fuss, we could take them to court re. updating a credit file. However, I would prefer to offer payment to the Value of goods rec'd ONLY (no interest), spread over an affordable timescale, on the understanding that they do NOT touch the credit file. Naturally, I would do this without admitting liability. Is my understanding correct next 3.pdf next 2.pdf next 1.pdf
  13. I tried to cover all the bases so; TheTeam@Wonga.com collections@wonga.com errol.damelin@wonga.com
  14. Go Errol, had a phone call to my mobile (at their expense !) about two hours after sending this, saying not to worry about the initial £10.00 just increase the 6 monthly payments to cover that. Interest and fees stopped. Still waiting for that in writing though !! Thanks for your help.
  15. Whoa, didn't mean the e-mail to look like that !! Meant to say: I have been in regular contact with you and last spoke to someone on 30/07/2010 regarding a payment plan. I explained that I had less than a fiver in the bank at the moment, but said that I would try and arrange something over the weekend. I have failed miserably but am quite willing to make the following arrangements. I will pay £10.00 immediately, direct to your bank as a token payment to show willing and get the plan started. I will then pay £xx.00 directly to your account on the 20/08, 21/09, 21/10, 19/11, 21,12 and 21/01/2011 to settle the debt. This will total £x00 which is considerably more than the original loan with reasonable interest.[/font] I would expect interest and charges to be frozen once I have paid the £10.00 token, and also would expect you to add further interest and charges only if I missed a payment. Please not that I am NOT trying to avoid payment, I have used you in the past and always paid on time or early. I note that you are a member of the FLA and would hope that you will deal with me in accordance with Section D1 of the Lending Code.
