ok,
not many payments made but this is what i have worked out. hopefully correct lol.
Assuming APR is 19.45 as worked out by monthly rate of 1.492 (thanks pf)
10.08.04 PPI applied 20.97 inc interest 73.87
09.09.04 PPI applied 21.77 75.23
11.10.04 PPI applied 22.00 74.47
09.11.04 PPI applied 21.04 69.90
09.12.04 PPI applied 22.57 73.55
12.01.05 PPI applied 24.07 76.73
09.02.05 PPI applied 25.22 75.36
So i have taken the intial charge, using the interest calculator that was linked to me added compound interest at 19.45 % then address 8% stat interest to that figure leaving me with the final figures you see. So i should be asking for a total of £519.11????
Have i done this right???
Hope that all makes sense
thanks

hi pf,
yes i have got total but those 2 links you gave me each give me different amounts and i am struck which one to use?
i will post up the fugures that i got and can you see if they look ok?
thanks
-
oh thanks again pf,
yes just another question or two lol.
do i do the contractual and stat interest seperatly and then add the figures together or do i do the contractual then add the stat interest to that figure?
Does that make sense?
thanks

i dont mind paying it, it is secured on my house after all. just that as part of the reason we took it was so that we cleared a big debt of his. I just want him to pay me what he really should be.
Think i will think hard about court action.

we wasnt married, thank god lol. yes he pays maintence when the csa can get it off him that is!!

hi ,
Me and my ex got a joint secured loan on my house back in 2005. we have since split up. he used to pay the loan and take my half of it out of my maintence payments. well it actually worked out i paid more of it but thats by the by.
anyway in march/april of this year we had some major problems with our children and access was ceased. he without my knowing cancelled the dd for the april payment. i only knew about this about a week before the may payment was due, so could not afford 2 months payments in one go. i amended dd details so loan now comes out my bank but i still havent caught up with the arrears. i started paying an extra 40 pounds a month but that was only started in august. so since april i have had 40 pound charge added on plus their interest.
so my payments to them are 209 a month but im now paying 249.
my question is can i take my ex to cort to make him pay his half, it is a joint loan. he is flat out refusing to pay anything for it. its my house solely so he would care if i lost it - although it houses his children!
so what should i be asking for if i can take him to court?
thanks

hi,
Have today recieved a letter from BC saying along the lines of, we refere to your previous letter alledging we have failed to comply with your request blah blah blah..............please note that we have already set out in detail, why we are satified that we have met your request and are under no legal obligation to provide further documentation to you.
ok firstly is this a standard letter? i havent chased them again about just sending me the terms and condition from my cca request. the last thing i sent soley about that was account in dispute on 03.08.09.
last letter i sent them was a full SAR request on 29.08.09.
Im slightly confused should i wait until the 40 days are up and see what they send or respond to this letter?
thanks

Hi,
I have today rec'd a response from welcome re PPI.
letter states,
thanks for your letter rec'd 02.09.09 re your PPI policy, we are keen to ensure your complaint is handled fairly and in this respect we need to weigh up your recollections with our evidence of the process where by you bought the insurance.
we will therefore look at the following items from our files
the recording of the telephone call during which the insurance was first mentioned to you
copies of documents we would have sent to you at the time
the script that was in place at the time
records relating to the individual who spoke to you
we will examine your complaint and consider whether the evidence supports your recollection of events. If we believe you are correct, and if there is any serious short fall on our behalf we will consider how to recompense you. The amount would depend on teh detriment you have suffered if any.
We will issue a final deision in this repect by 28.10.09. You the have the right to refer if necessary to the financial ombudsman service, and in this respect we enclose a leaflet explaining their service.
Yours sincerely
ian brocklesby
So is this just a standard letter? How can they look at things from the file when i have had the SAR details fromthem and there are no transcripts of telephone calls and they have stated that this is all the info they hold?
What is my next move? should i give them till the 28.10.09?
Thanks
