  1. I contacted you towards the end of last year regarding Equita and JBW Bailiffs, for a council tax debt, l took the advise on board, sent my letters to the council and bailiffs and today l have had a meeting with the council, they have taken the accounts back from the bailiffs we have agreed a repayment plan. Thank you for the advise, the only problem now is l have had a letter today from Equita threaten yet another visit to seive goods, l have now written to them telling them the outcome of my meeting today.
  2. I was just wondering if there are any templates of letters l could use, to send to the council and JBW, at least it would appear l know what l'm talking about then. lol
  3. Many thanks for the advise given to me, l will contact the council direct, and send copies of the letters to JBW. Thank you again
  4. l had a visit from a bailiff from jbw group for an outstanding coucil tax account, this man told me that l had to pay this account to his company, l did'nt let him in, but he did take details of my car, which in fact is a car on a motorbility, allowance from dwp, ( l dont own the car, its like a lease car) and he got me to sign a form, he also told me, that the jbw group would only give me 6 months to pay, which works out to be around £335 a month, which at the moment l cannot afford to pay. I'm dreading the begining of the month, when l can't pay, l don't know which way to go, l cant' sleep or eat, l'm worried sick in case he takes my car, as l am disabled and wont have any transport. Hoping someone can offer me advise,

  6. hi, everyone, thanks for the past advise, perhaps you could help me again, had another visit from rossendales, this afternoon, about unpaid council tax l didnt answer the door, he put a letter through the door, saying l have to pay in the next 24 hours, or they will come back and remove goods whether l am in or they could take them in my absence, l have been paying the council direct and sent letters to rossendale they have not replied and the council say they can not take the account back, please help with some advise getting worried again now.
  7. l would like to thank everyone for their past advise, but could someone tell me, if bailiffs could just take my husband's van or get an attachment of earnings on my husbands wages, the bailiffs have not got in, despite trying their hardest and l have refused to sign anything. Thanks again.

  9. :(l would like thank everyone for their past advise, but l need some more, have just had another visit from hammond hillman bailiff trying to get some more money from us, for the outstanding council tax, balance, l used to pay them £100.00 a month but stopped when a company called rossendale called for the same outstanding bill, after reading your forum and past advise l have paid the council direct for the last 2 months, this guy this afternoon wanted to take my car but it is a motorbility car, then looked at my husband van that he uses for work, when l told him that he could'nt get anything and l would'nt sign anything he told me that he was goin away to get an attachement of earnings order from my husbands employer, now what should l do, worried sick again now in case he comes back for the van, should l just pay one of these companies.
  10. l forget to say that when he receives the letter he will put it straight in the bin, he said it has gone to far!!!!!!!!!

  12. In september, this year, while staying with some friends, our Lloyds Classic accountant was frozen, leaving us with no money l called Lloyds straight away and was put through to the collections department in Brighton, l spoke to a very rude man there who told me he didnt care that we were left with no money and that our old Gold account was in default by £4956.25, we knew there was a problem with that account but had an arrangement to pay £250.00 per month back to them, after a visit to our local branch they told me to stop paying that amount until they sorted out some charges that had been put onto that account by mistake, then suddenly l get a letter from a company called Allied International Credit, who want me to pay the full amount in one lump sum, which we cant' they dont seem to want to listen to us or let us make any arrangement they keep ringing us about 6 or 7 times a day which are getting quite abusive now, they have said that they are coming to seize goods, l am getting to a point now that l am scared to answer the phone, we are willing to pay and make an arrangement but l want the to get the right amount because we disagree with that amount ,we also feel abit miffed that Lloyds took money out of savings account (l only had about £20.00 in there), and closed that account as well. Can someone give me some advise l did go to the C.A.B. but l think l confused that lady so she gave me some energy saving light bulbs instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!look forward to hearing from someone:(
