no money went in to my dads or brothers bank accounts

i dont know if i am putting this in the right place so if not iam sorry i wanted some advice for my dad and brother. My dad recieved a letter of default on a loan from black horse that he never applied for. When he rang the company they said it was my brother who took out the loan and they could only talk to him(my dad and brother have the same name) The only information they would give my dad was the date of birth of the person that took out the loan. My dad and brother live at seperate addresses. The date of birth was my brothers. So my dad got my brother to ring however the loan was used to buy something for a different address to my dads or my brothers. Also my brother has never worked and has no credit history. The loan was taken out over the internet which my brother has no access to. Now my dad has recieved a letter threatening court action against him. When he origanally rang them they said it was not his debt so how can they take him to court. What can my brother and dad do now as none of them know of the debt or when it was taken out as the company keeps saying we can not discuss it due to data protection.

My eight year old daughter has just been awarded DLA and my husband is claiming JSA. I was wondering that now my daughter has DLA is it going to affect my Housing and Council tax benefit as i have been awarded full Housing and council tax benefit based on my husbands JSA.

Hello everyone, Can anyone help me, i recently got the local council to take back my debt of council tax arreas from the baliffs. After filling in an expenditure form thay told me that they do not take in to account my HP or the fact that i smoke or my husband smokes or that we have two children one with special educational needs and my husband recieves JSA. We are having to pay £100 per month. My questions are 1 can they charge us this amount and 2 are they still allowed to charge us the baliff fess as they are doing. Any help please

Hello everyone, Just wondering if any one could give me some advice. I was having problems with baliffs regarding council tax arreas. After trying to get them to listen to me i went to my local council about the arreas. The council took the debt back off the baliffs and we agreed to pay the council £100 per month I say we agreed we had no choice as they did not take in to account my HP payments or the fact that i smoke on my expenditure form. So we are now paying the £100 per month despite my huband being on JSA and i dont work. Can the council still charge us baliff fees now i am paying the council directly. Any help and opinions will be great.

prthej don't worry m8 we had this don't bother with council at moment they will not do anything but say it's gone to bailiffs try getting in ouch with your councilor or mp of the area he/she might help or o into your council office and for manager not a clerk my mp helped me.

Just an update to let you know what is happening the council rang today and told us that the baliffs have been put on hold all i need to do now is write to them with a expenditure form with my income and out goings wrote on it. By any chance does anyone know where i can print one off as they only said to write it in a letter.

thanks chris but i have found another route i got in touch with my mp and she is emailing them and writing to them to sort this out for us maybe this could be useful to other people on this sort of matter after all they are looking for votes lol i don't think they would ignore an mp some mps are good like that our mp is bev hughes and she is head of family's welfare so a usefull tool in this case.

thanks chris we'll give it a try and see what happen but what if the bailiff calls today.i'll keep you posted on developments and if this gets sorted i owe you big time.

trafford housing trust don't answer emails we've tried and what letter do we write to trafford housing trust ie local authority and to bailiff meaning the company or the actual bailiff manager.we appreciate all this help it's making me more depressed and my wife is heading for a nervous breakdown but no one but you lot are listening to us and to top it all off my youngest throat is sore and can hardly speak.we'll give the letter a go chris thanks.Do we send it recorded?.

yes im on income support we have rang the cancel and they said it's in the bailiffs hands and said the same to cab is there a letter or anything could do m8.thanks for helping chris it's much appreciated in these dark times

Hi bookworm, What happened was my daughter was having problems in her old school so they decided to permantly exclude her so she got put in to a special need. and i live in manchester:)

as far as we were aware it was an agreement to pay thats all when she came in my wife was on her own with my son and the dog and she thought it was her brother calling at the time so we don't know if it was an walking possession or what goods they are going take tv,dvd,and other stuff in the room is hp and this was the first bailiff now months down the line another bailiff calls monday saying iwant your money in 24hrs to get it by third party or otherwise my had changed which we tried to explain my incapacity got stopped and put on £82 a week income support £60 drop buthe didn't listen and said see you in the morning not turned up since still waiting is there any advice of what to do next.

hi guys bailiff called tuesday giving my wife 24hrs or money my wife signed something with him do we have to let them in it's a removal bailiff please help.most of our stuff is hp and have aggreements.

Thankyou for your help i didnt know what to expect all i know was my daughters doctor asked me to sign a form so she could get the statmenting process started. I was wondering if my daughter got the statement would i be able to get her to stay in the special needs school that she is already in as she is happy there and has settled.

Can any one help me my 8 year old daughter has been put forward for statementing. I have been told the process has been started does any one know how long it would take. Also would i be able to claim dla even though there is not a positive diagnosis the doctor is taking her time to diagnose aspurgers. Even though the people i talk with at cahms say that my daughter is a aspurgers child. Any help will be appreciated.
