  1. I'm self employed, sadone. I run two different businesses, but according to them they don't qualify as 'remunerative work'. Funny how they are happy to tax me on the profits, though, isn't it?! Don't want to go into too many details in case they are monitoring the site.
  2. I'm in the same position as you, Alastrum. I think they are deliberately 'misunderstanding' people's circumstances as an excuse to stop their WTC. They clearly have targets to reduce payments and will do so by fair means or foul - probably to ensure they get a nice fat bonus for cheating people out money that is rightfully theirs. My documents were returned by special delivery, Rainbo - I would imagine yours will be returned the same way. It took about 7-8 weeks for my documents to be returned.
  3. What happened with this case, Stanfranks?
  4. One thing to consider, if you do take the Tomlin order, Link cannot get a charge on your property unless you voluntarily agree to it. No CCJ, no charging order.

Indeed! They must have been forced to do this - they certainly wouldn't do it out of the goodness of their hearts! Would love to know for sure what the refund regards, so I could check other accounts for the same error.

I got the same letter and a refund, today, ltc. Lovely surprise, wasn't it? I think it may have been because they charged a higher interest rate then they were entitled to charge: My card was originally with another company, then MBNA bought it out and increased the interest rate by 300% for no reason!!! Methinks perhaps they were not entitled to do so and are refunding their error before they get a rap over the knuckles and have to add some compensation to the refunded interest charges. Just a theory, but I'm blowed if I can think what else it is attributable to. Very odd that they are so vague, isn't it?!
  7. I know what you mean, HH. Justice for those that can afford it! My sincere sympathies.
  8. Sorry to hear this, HH. No chance of the Barrister taking the case pro bono, I suppose?
  9. Best of luck with this, HH. Hope the Barrister has good news for you and you win on appeal.
  10. Really gutted for you, HH. Wish I knew of something to help; hopefully someone else will.
  11. I'm so sorry to hear this, HH. Can you apply for redetermination to set affordable monthly repayments?
  12. Hi HH, I'm afraid I don't know the answer to this one, but giving your post a bump in the hope that someone more knowledgeable will be along soon. Can anyone help with this one, please?
  13. Thanks Tally - hope the calm continues for you:-)
  14. Have you had any further developments with this bunch, Huggy's Boss?
