  1. Thats great Thankyou,I have passed this on to my bro in law and sister, Virgin have sent them a letter basically saying the contractors are not admitting liability and virgin cant do anything else therefore the complaint is closed ! The cheek of it:mad2:
  2. Hi Im wondering if anyone can help at all please? My sister has just had virgin installed and when they fitted it they have lent on her £ 2000 50 inch tv leaving a big shadow in the corner. Her partner phoned them approx 1 hour after they had left and he noticed, all the usual promises were made-it will be sorted etc.. 2 People visited her home,1 man was quite rude ,the other quite pleasent and completely agreed with how annoyed they were. The tune then changed and the rude man said it wont be a quick proccess. My bro in law phoned the next day after several continous promises of a call back to which they have never received-to be informed virgin media were saying its nothing to do with us we employed contractors and they are denying all knowledge of damage! They are furious.... My bro in law has to constantly ring them and to date has made 7 telephone calls with the promise he will be called back by a manager of course which never happens. They will never put him through to a manager, they just refuse. Today he has been told the complaints closed as the contractors will not accept liability and virgin media didnt do the work. Even though there contract was with virgin media. They were told a letter was due out last week ,again nothing arrived and have been told today the letter was typed up yesterday. Please can anyone help? Ive told him I will get a result on here:madgrin: Thanks in advance
  3. They used to but I cant have him here my son is 3, and my dad doesnt trust my husband when his psychosis occurs, he believes my husbands plotting and holding him down while the other people abstract blood from him. I got him his own flat sorted but he often believes thats being bugged! It wouldnt matter where he stayed when his mind goes he doesnt trust anywhere or anyone.
  4. Its a newer drug too and favoured because of less side effects, paranoid schizoprenia usually presents itself very early on in males teens early 20s latest mid 30s he has never had any mental health issues untill he was 45 18 months ago hes since been detained (sectioned)twice and voluntarily agreed to go into hospital once. Even the doctors arent sure what it is but because hes had psychosis 3 times they are now considering it to be a mental health issue- he has no history of drug use either.
  5. Hi godmother they will only section him if he is a danger to himself or others (when his mind goes he like knives, skewers, screwdrivers ) you get the jist.. therefore hes classed as a danger to others on that basis they will section him, however hes very good at fooling people-he will say anything to escape. After a few days 7/8 days hes stable enough not to be a danger so they have to lift the section,he gets frustrated angry and bored. Hes then technically allowed to leave if he likes although this time they asked him if he would stay for 10 voluntarily which he agreed to.Then hes deemed fit to be discharged and hey presto guess what Im back to square one ! They dont want him in there anymore than he wants to be but getting a care plan agreed for discharge -lets just say it doesnt happen, hes still waiting for a cpn. Its so frustrating x
  6. Hi overdone there is a crisis team but I dont know why they are called that they dont do anything i just get fobbed off wether it be by the gp crisis team community mental health. He does take his meds he is on a high dose of quetiapine 600mg daily but he also has a neurological condition yet to be diagnosed! (basal ganglia antibodies )
  7. Thanks again, I think all I want is for when it happens again is not to have to get him physically restrained and held in a cell for 18 hours which is harrowing-6 police officers grabbing him hitting him with a truncheon when all he knows is hes terrified they are all plotting to kill him and he needs to escape! The police were very good and realised how terrified he was but they arent trained in mental health, I caled his doctor and went to the surgery twice he wouldnt even speak to me. I called the crisis team who said see the gp the first time then the second time told me the had no psychiatrists available and to go to a&e (no chance when hes in that frame of mind as he needs to keep running from the visual and auditory hallucinations)) then they told me I would have to get him picked up on a section 136.,because he had been discharged community mental health team wouldnt do anything.,neither would the clinic as i needed a refferal from one of the previous three mentioned. argh.. they make me mad!
  8. Thankyou very much I never knew this existed. Thanks again xx
  9. Hiya Lovely to hear from you, sorry ive not been in touch. Well things have moved on slightly although my dad had to be sectioned again 3 weeks ago,he is out again now and so far hes stable although we have been told it will happen again (psychosis) I have now given up my job and my dad employs me 17.5 hours a week. I still need to be with him everyday all day to make sure hes ok,so therefore have asked for a reassesment (fingers crossed) We are still awaiting a cpn to be allocated more for my piece of mind really as this time once again the gp wouldnt help he doesnt think its his job! He says hes fed up with the crisis team not doing their job. cpn had discharged him and the crisis team didnt want to know so I had to get my Dad detained by the police on a section 136 (this is so the police can take him to a place of safety) which is something id tried so hard to avoid, and sectioned by the relevent professionals at the police station after they had to physicaly restrain him! Although Im no expert in mental health I can honestly see why people are harming themselves and others as there is no help out there, Its disgusting. I know and see the signs and tell all the professionals that he needs to go into hospital but they just palm me off and send me round in circles telling me its everyone elses responsibility. Im not sure what else to do now. maccas-mum x
  10. Hi PT 2537 Have taken your advice thanks, I sent an email last wednesday but as yet not heard anything will keep you posted! Thanks again Maccas-mum
  11. Thank you for your suggestions, Firstly i have appealed his mobility however they have said unless he cannot walk or is virtually unable to do so then they will not do anything. I spoke to the council about sheltered accomodation but they would only offer after alot of uproar from myself a ground floor bedsit because he is only 46. I am also in the process of a assessment from social services and ive spoken to his doctor to ask if he could write a letter of support and he willingly agreed, but i was told the last time from social services that his needs have to be very severe-the fact that his hands seize his legs and back seize and his legs give way were not enough! I have had to rescue so many pans because he forgets they are on. I feel i am fighting a losing battle! Although on his dla forms it states he needs constant supervision during the day social services didnt want to do anything-I know it will be the same this time round. I dont know where else to turn? Thankyou again
  12. Thank you for all your help! I am now trying to get my Dad some help in the way of a carer,as he is really struggling with day to day (I am at work 4 days of the week so cannot be there as much as he needs me) He has had a previous assessment with social services who have said his needs were moderate and offered me help! I refused. Social services were saying it was a mental health issue and the clinic he was sectioned in were saying it was organic from the neurological condition, His cpn has signed him off now and his psychiatrist has verified the psychosis was down to the neurological conditon. All we know is there is something wrong with his brain which has resulted in him having seizures, memory loss, psychosis, walking difficulties, speech impairment and his body shutting down,to the point he cant get out of bed some days . He leaves pans on and they boil dry, drops them,Turns up for appointments days early or days late! He is still untrusting and has become reclusive. He has been awarded middle rate care and lower mobility, which has been notified will continue now for five years before review. Does anyone have any ideas as to what or how i can get social services to help? Thanks
  13. Hi All! Sorry not been on for a while, been looking after my dad hes out now, been getting him settled in his bedsit! He has been assigned to the parkinsons clinic now! Wondering if anyone can help? 16. Thankyou so much for your help,You have all been great!
  17. Thankyou so much,do you think this will work? I really didnt want to let this go as i have a sneaky suspicion first credit will start to become nasty now the show has been aired! Its a shame Kilroy is in the jungle as he would have been my next port of call! Also if i send of for a copy of his credit file and sar surely they would have the info they need t be so vicious? And do i get him to print his name as it has been pointed out these companies have a history of forging signatures? Thankyou all for your help xx
  18. Hi there,You are completely right i am the person involded in the program and what the programme didnt show whilst i was recording the telephone call was the muppett from first credit saying i could obtain a section from anywhere! aswell as them agreeing to lower payments then going back on it,
  19. Hi there it was a credit card with citi bank, he had never ever been in any debt before but eventually became unable to work ,to start with odd days off that became worse til he was working 1/2 days out of the month ,he wouldnt claim benefits and when he realised he had no alternative he was told because he was self employed he couldnt get anything because of his stamp. He began robbing peter to pay paul and ended up in a real financial mess, they are all credit cards totaling #15.000 not #12.000 like panorama reported,as stated most are sympathetic after a while and huge amounts of charges. Thankyou all for your help
  20. Thats right it was a friend of mine! Maybe now st credit have been shamed they may let him recover and lay off a bit! Thank you
  21. Thankyou i am a member but am just geting to grips -my messages seem to be ending up all over the place.
  22. thankyou 1st credit havent waived the debt they did put it on hold for two weeks for me to contact them on the 21st of november. Oh and wished him a speedy recovery!
  23. Hi i am the lady featured on bbc1s panorama10/11/2008 cant pay wont pay.I know some people thought i had a yes no attitude to 1st credit, however i was told by panorama not to get angry as it could be seen as antagonising them in front of the camera! Truth is i did cry i was upset and all i wanted was for my dad to be my old dad no longer be disabled and mentally unfit for anything! He was a mess these people at first credit were cretins but panorama were my last hope.I knew i needed to be calm (how i did i will never know ) they were the most insensitive bunch of B**tards i have ever known! To see my dad hounded to death by them when he was negotiating with his voices by offering them 3 fingers and a kicking not to kill me and shoot him was the hardest thing i have ever had to see.He just had so many bills and my mum has now taken on the house and mortgage since they have now split up,i just wanted to sort them all out! He has lost everything he worked 6 sometimes 7 days a week to pay what needed paying we had food in our tummies and clothes on our backs, untill his body began shutting down slowly after 5 years he is registered disabled (he used to work on the roads) is on 15 sets of medication and is now sectioned. He has never had a mental illness but after seeing his neurologist just 4 days ago ,he has something wrong with his brain, diagnosis still to be confirmed .That is why i was so passive with them. I know he owes the money and 1st credit will be paid. I did have a call from a senior figure of 1st credit who apologised and said they had been misleading and are re-training staff and as you say until the next time they are caught! I have also had a call from Panorama who have also said anymore trouble from them they will give them a shove! I have to contact 1st credit on the 21st and i would be greatful if you have any suggestions X
