  2. Right had an accident a few months ago on my motorbikle, Im at fault but fully comp. The bike (KTM 525 EXC) as standard is worth about £3.4k, it has then been converted to a supermoto and adding up the parts new it comes to just over £2k. Now the insurance company are only offering me £3.5k and that was after a bit of arguing, they are now going away to talk to the supervisor. I have supplied them with a list of the parts and how much they cost and all these parts were listed on the insurance as mods. So what can i do now? Any tips on making them pay more? I cant find any bikes like mine, maybe a few SMs but not with the same parts and seeing as they have been given a list of the mods and prices printed out what more can I do? I have even used the word indemnify as I believe thats kind of a legal word when it comes to insurance and them having to indemnify me, I told them if I was accept that offer and wanted to replace the bike I would be £2k out of pocket and thats now what insurance is for when you pay for fully comp.
  3. Yep, think it might have been a different number as I just got through to his assitant and he would call me back each time, maybe his direct line is now just an answer phone
  4. They left it very late! I was due in Court on the Tuesday as per date above, I received the offer to settle Tuesday night the week before so nothing I could do till the next day really so that only left 6 days! I filled it out, crossed out the bit about confidentiality and sent it back, because the time was so tight I phone up keith Jeremiah to say I would not be cancelling the court case until the money was in my account. The money went into my account on Friday afternoon, Keith Jeremiah seemed a decent bloke and called me and left a message to say he had received an email to confirm it had gone in etc etc, I posted my letter by hand to the court that night. So all in all a very tight lot of deadlines! Good luck to the rest of you!
  5. sorry guys Im back!! They settled but I didnt want to post untill the money was in my account, I put a line through the gag order Anyway all paid up in full, just gutted I messed up on the interest when i was sorting it all out. Anyway about to donate £50 when i can find the link EDIT: Made the donation, made sure it came out of my barclays account so shows up CONSUMERACT on my statement, they wont ever see but it made me feel good lol
  6. Well done Mrs Wolfy!! Didnt realise anyone had got to court yet and sounds like they took the wrong decision taking you this far! You make them regret it
  7. Well done Wolfcub If Barclays dont hurry up it looks like that defence will be used against them in 1 weeks time!
  8. First off sorry And thanks I will save that to disk and give it a good tweaking
  9. damn you merged them, I only started a new one as no body answered it when I updated my thread last time Am i ready..... hmmm i think so.. I have all the docs and highlighted bits.... only time will tell I guess. Do I need to dress really smart for this sort of court appearance?
  10. I am supposed to be seeing Barclays in Court next Tuesday and I still havent had an offer..... getting a bit close isnt it? How close do they usually leave it before paying up?
  11. Havent been about for a while.... court date is looming.... when do they usually pay up? I mean how tight do they leave it?

  14. No documents need for the questionnaire, well I didnt bother as it says something about not needing to on the form. I dont know where I found the above docs but if you cut and past the names into google it should bring you loads of links, thats what i did and just saved them on my PC now hth
  15. Yes, I have recieved a letter back from the courts informing that date is TBC and that I need to send all docs to both barclays and the courts 28 days before the court case. Thats why I'm running around trying to find out what docs we should send, there doesnt seem to be a definative list anywhere.
