Thank you all so much for your replies and support, was at this car park today and spotted the over zealous car park attendant being dragged to a car buy this poor woman who had like me not displayed her ticket correctly, I could not resist, I went over to her while he was telling her to appeal!!! o yes that old chestnut - I informed them both that the company does not accept appeals and told him to stop telling people to claim to get them off his back - even felt like following him round and paying for tickets to stick on windscreen that he was looking at!! I hate sweating the small stuff and how these people just jump on your back to hassel you when everyone has got more important things to do than fight with these con artists - the woman and I swapped numbers - solidarity rules - thanks again - was just about to pay the fine before I found your site - will let you know the outcome - Think I will stick a notice on all the machines on the car park seemed like about 1 in ten cards had a notice on them!! -
I recently parked in the Truman brewery and made sure I was back on time - to my horror I had been issued with a parking ticket - my ticket that I had place on the dash had blown over and was not visable - I tried to get the attendant to come over to confirm that I have come back on time - his only response was the robotic 'just appeal' which of course I did, only to get the standard your ticket needs to be displayed and another ticket seems a little harsh (£50 - soon to rise to £100 if not paid within 14 days) but if we do it for you etc - `i sent a copy of the ticket that I had paid - any by looking at some of your threads it wold seem that I entered a contract and paid for my space - the company lost no revenue which I can prove but they still want to charge me £50 which I was just going to pay until I found your web site. Does anyone think I have a chance of taking this further and getting charge cleared or shall I just make them for for the £100 which it will be as I loose the right to the discount if I continue to appeal! and advice please. thanks all:???:
