  1. Thanks alot, Ive sent them a letter today so heres hoping all will be resolved will keep you all posted :0)
  2. I have a mortgage from Bank of Scotland which I've had for almost 8 years now and had in past been in arrears minimum and always cleared them. Past 2 or three months money has been an issue due to work problems and reduction in tax credits etc. I have got in arrears they arent a great huge amount, I have managed to pay full payments month then miss then make up again. I have had problems this month and unable to pay which now takes the arrears back up to 445.00. I have now sat down and worked out all my income etc and can start from scratch with monthly payments are normal from October 2011 with addition payments of £20.00 forthnightly towards the arrears. Do you think they will accept have the few arrangements I've had and broken? Or will they now start procedings and if so how long does it all take? Im very worried. Thanks so much in advance and would appreciate a quick reply I seriously need to calm these nerves. Thanks

  4. Thank you. So the letter i recieved today accepting the double payment for April and continuning with monthly payments does it mean they will still try reposses and add default? Dont make sense if they ahve confirmed acceptance of payments? Thanks
  5. Hi everyone, I missed my montly payment in March which put me in arrears (already had one month in arrears) totally to a silly amount of £283.13, I sent a letter end of march offering to pay an additional one months amount with my direct debit with April payment. I got two letters today detailing below (sorry if its long) We write to advise that there are arrears on your account as state above. Please note ther we are unwiling to allow these to reamin, and require you to contact this office to make a Debit card payment or alternatively forward a cheque to clear the oustanding balance within the next 7 days. If you are not in a position to do this then you should forward your alternatie proposals in order that we may consider them. We take this opportunity to remind you that we will charge you interest on a compound basis if you fail to make all or party of a monthly payment in the calendar month to which the monthly payment relates. We will not be obliged to recalculate the monthly payment if the total increases for this reason. THIS PARAGRAPH IS WHAT IM ENQUIREING ABOUT ...... "If we reposses your property, we will send dtails to the council of mortgate lender's posesssions register which is passed to credit reference agencies. They will record this informartion agains you personally. This means the informaiton will be avaliable to other lenders and may mean you cannot borrow money from other lenders! Is this paragraph jsut a standard thing they put on letters? It is it the thought see the "If we reposses". I got another letter today as well as this one, accepting the offer of additional monthly payment but again at bottom of the letter details this paragrapht. Any advice would be agreatly appreciated... (Its a Bank of Scot mortg) Thanks in Advance

  8. They have not yet contacted me so i am assuming by tomorrow or tuesday my acount will have been moved to collections so will try my best to keep my accounts :0) thanks for your advice and on the charges note i think i will maybe look in to that thanks
  9. Me and my partner have a seprate account each with RBS and 2 Joint accounts with them. In 2008/9 I had lost my job and had got in to some difficulty with them thru charges etc on my account, for several months we had several repayments plans, however in the end in 2009 i got a loan with them to clear of my overdraft and bring account up to date which we did and all was fine, then charges happened again and it was agreed a new overdraft of £300 was added to myaccount, this has been for almost 7/8 months now and have been in control of it. But now on my other account they paid a direct debit (when I had no funds) so that account is overdrawn and my loan payment has been missed. The reason for my question is they told me if this happened again they would have to default my account and we will have to bank elsewhere will they do this automatically and freeze our accounts and money? Thanks
  10. I managed to fax it to them at 5pm today so no doubt they will call me tomorrow I know they are opened from tomorrow till friday so heres hoping they are ok with it, they will have to be otherwise they wont get anything lol!!!
