  1. A cheque for the whole amount. I would ring either Picture/FSCS and find this out old wulf, interesting point.
  2. First person has received their cheque from the FSCS! They are refunding total PPI paid not just paid to date and interest paid to date, even if the loan is still ongoing.
  3. Just to let you know we have heard that one claimants claim has been passed back to the FSCS by Deloitte and they should get a result within two weeks.
  4. What year was the PPI box pre ticked ? Thank you How the FOS work out your refund: CREDIT CARDS 1. Where card account and the PPI are still in force. If the consumer agrees to cancellation of the PPI the financial business should: a) reconstruct the account by removing any premiums in respect of the PPI and any interest or charges in respect of those premiums; b) if that produces a credit balance for any period, credit interest on that balance for that period at 8% simple per year; and c) send the customer a statement showing the resulting balance on the account (with details of how it was calculated). 2. Where the card account is still open but the PPI has been cancelled. The financial business should: a) reconstruct the account by removing any premiums in respect of the PPI and any interest or charges in respect of those premiums; b) if that produces a credit balance for any period, credit interest on that balance for that period at 8% simple per year; and c) send the customer a statement showing the resulting balance on the account (with details of how it was calculated.) 3. Where the card account has been cleared and closed and the PPI has been cancelled: The financial business should: a) reconstruct the account by removing any premiums in respect of the PPI and any interest or charges in respect of those premiums; b) if that produces a credit balance for any period, credit interest on that balance for that period at 8% simple per year; c) pay the customer the difference between the revised closing balance and the original closing balance; d) pay the customer interest on that difference at 8% simple per year from the date of closure to the date of payment; and e) send the customer details of how the revised balance, the difference and the interest were calculated. FOS may also consider it appropriate for the financial business to pay the consumer additional compensation for any distress and inconvenience he or she has been caused, including where the financial business rejected a complaint which it knew (or should have known) would be upheld, If they consider such an award is appropriate this will be specified by the adjudicator.
  5. Hello all just to let you know that Deloitte has been requesting information from Picture/ Target in relation to our claims. Picture is taking about 1 week to send back information on 50 claims. A few of us have had the information returned to Deloittes and have claim handlers working on our claims now. Thay then get passed to the FSCS to see if they are eligible for compensation.
  6. Everything you have put down in your post is a reason for mis selling, especially not told it was optional and the 5 year bit, but put it all in.
  7. Hope you hear something soon Alitree, wonder how many they can deal with at a time.
  8. I dont know of any other options except contacting Ernst and Young. I hope someone with more knowledge in these matters will be along to help.
  9. It would appear that not all cases that have been passed over to Deloitte have received a letter yet. My number is under 100.
  10. I am trying to get someone to look at my case for secret commissions but have a problem that the company concerned is now in liquidation. Also two no win no fee claim companies wont help me with just the secret commission as the ppi element has to go through the FSCS and they will only do the PPI complaint and commission.
  11. Hello allan 48 are we at the front of the queue date wise:D
  12. Home - Consumer home page - Latest News - 2009 - August - Picture Financial Services Plc Call them or write, they will send a claim form either way.
  13. steve76, you need to contact the FSCS so they can send you a claim form to fill in.
  14. If you believe you were mis sold go for it. It makes no difference if you receive your payout or not you just have to let the FSCS know if you have had a refund when you fill out their claim form.
  15. Yes you will still get your money, if there are no arrears.
  16. Anyone else had their letter from Deloitte to say their claim will be processed shortly?
  17. Call the FOS, they will let you know if they can look into your claim.
  18. All payments should come direct to people, at least the ppi already paid and the rest should be taken off the loan. I hope thats what happens, why should Picture receive the money? Arrears may come into it but apart from that....
  19. Thanks for the article allan48, here's hoping I'm among the first payments:D
