  1. Hi i'm new here but my partner had a personal loan of £2,500 with HSBC, in 2005 he lost his income and had problems with keeping up direct debit payments for other items, HSBC contacted himhe asked for a short term overdraft to cover their loan repayment and said that they would reduce his repayments from £76 down to £38 a month . For over 18 months he did not get a statement from his loan account when he did he was shocked to discover that £31 out of the £38 is in fact interest charges, and that he had a managed loan and not a personal loan They had also changed his bank account into a basic bank account. for the last 2 years he has been on good wages and has never missed a payment. He would also like to know if he can claim back these interest payments as he was never told that his loan account was being changed from a Personal loan over to a managed loan as if he had been given al the details ie: interest charges being almost two thirds of the monthly payment he would not have agreed. HSBC gave the impression that they were helping him out in the short term. since going over to the managed loan in 3 years he has paid off approx. £210 I am wondering if there is a case for reclaim under the terms of mis-sold as he never signed an agreement for the managed loan and was never informed of the terms and conditions
  2. No OH didn't think to take photos, butthe car in front of us arrived just after we'parked up and was still there when we were ticketed but there was no ticket on their vehicle or on several others further down the road without residents permits
  3. As OH works nights and I am unable to get to the council offices 20 miles away to check out the regulations then I guess we'll just have to pay the fine and put it down to experience as our 14 day limit is almost up. Just one thing how can this council only give you 14 days to pay when other places give you 28 days
  4. Could someone please tell me how and where i would check to see if the Traffic Regulation Order is in order
  5. Can these be issued by councilwardens or do they have to be issued by a traffic warden/policeman

  7. Could anyone tell me if i have grounds to appeal this parking charge notice given by a local borough council. The notice was attached to our car which was in a CPZ in a parking bay with restrictions of parking for one hour then no return for at least an hour. Our car was blocked in at both front and back and moving was not possible without damagingi our car and the other persons. My confusion as to the validity of the the ticket is that it clearly states that it is a Parking charge Notice, that an offence has been committed and that the fine of £60 is to be paid in 14 days or action may be taken in the magistrates court. The council website clearly states that the only parking tickets to receive discount for prompt payment are those issued in the pay and display car parks this was verified by a lady in the council office
