  1. Hi, I have various other threads going and am in a total mess. Now I have another situation which is making everything else worse. I need to open a parachute bank account. I pulled my credit file over a week ago and found that I had a default from GE Money on a secured loan. All of my payments are up to date with them and I can prove that as it shows the DD'S on my bank statements. After a lot of phone calls to them and the CRA's it is supposed to be coming off in the next 48hrs. It was placed on there incorrectly and is now being investigated by GE and I sent a very stiff letter to t
  2. Hello Nick, Thank you for your post on this thread. I don't know what your intention was,as your post was not constructive, so all I can do is answer your question. I have been a member of this forum for some time. I do not however, live sleep and breathe it. There is almost an information overload on this site and on the internet in general. My situation is not unique, but neither is it bog standard and with the added problem of self employment it is certainly not simple. Maybe a "self-employed" section would be of use. It is not that I don't have a clue how to sort my pr
  3. Hi, Can anyone please please help me? I have nearly 60k of credit card debt. I am self employed with a fairly new business which is not giving me a big regular income yet. I am also a homeowner and I have about 60k equity in my property. I have spent most of the day speaking to various different debt help places and filling out forms listing my expenditure. Payplan are supposed to be getting back to me in a couple of days. I can't get a re-mortgage as I am self employed and the self cert mortgages do not really exist. I did speak to a mortgage advisor today who said they "migh
  4. Hi, I pulled my credit file today and was shocked to see that there is a default from GE Money who I have a mortgage with. I have not missed any payments or been late.I double checked my bank statements to make sure and I have not missed any payments. The default was put onto my file nearly 2 months ago. I phoned them straight away and asked why it was on my account and said I wanted it removed ASAP. The person I spoke to could not tell me why it was on my file. I asked to speak to a manager or anyone who could tell me why this had happened and who had the ability to remove it. I was
  5. Hi, Please help,I don't know where to start, this is the situation. I have a lot of debt approx £60k on credit cards.I have not defaulted on any of the cards and I have no ccj's or defaults on my credit file. I am a home-owner,I have a mortgage and a secured loan, both with GE Money for about £100k. I have not defaulted on those either. I am self-employed and my business is fairly young. I do not have a regular income from it yet,it comes in fits and starts. The cards are the main problem as the interest on them is crippling. I am at a point where I am not going to be able

  7. Hi, We got a parking ticket yesterday issued by the local authority for parking on a double yellow line. I live on the outskirts of a small town in Dorset. For the last 7 weeks the road I live in has been dug up as they are replacing gas pipes or something. This has meant that around 60 houses have not been able to park outside their homes for this time.It is quite hard to park at the best of times, however since the road works it is a nightmare. Yesterday I hurt myself and my partner had to take me to hospital for a suspected broken foot. We went to hospital, waited several hours to
  8. It is not SB. About 5 years. If lowells own the debt, would it show on my credit file?
  9. Thanks for that 42man. How will that stop Red from persuing me though. They have said that they are going to be getting a petition for bankcruptcy. How can I stop that? Also,do Red not have a legal obligation to supply me with something that shows they own this alleged debt? This has been going on since the end of July last year. I have 20+ threatening letters form Red,Lowells and Hamptons.
  10. No charges. I just want them to have to prove they own this alleged debt.
  11. Hi 42man, They have not sent me a stat demand yet. It was a natwest account with an overdraft from 5 years ago. I just want to stop them sending a petition. They have sent me nothing to show they own this alleged debt even. What can I do?
  12. I really need some help with this as I really do not know what to do next. I have started this new thread as the original one is quite long, however its here if you want. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/debt-collection-industry/194931-lowells-hamptons-bankruptcy-help.html Lowells,Red and Hamptons have threatened me with a bankcruptcy petition. I was given advice on here to request a CCA. I did that and had a very quick response from them, saying that section 74b of the cca act 1974 any requirement to supply a copy of the agreement is exempt for current accounts. So pay no
  13. Ok, so if there is no CCA where does that leave me? They have not proven to me that they even own this alleged debt. Surley they have to present me with something?
  14. OK! I sent the £1 postal order with the CCA request recorded delivery on Monday and today I have the following response: We refer to your request for a copy of your original credit agreement in accordance with the provisions of the section 77(1) and / or 78(1) of the consumer credit act 1974. This account from which the above amount is due relates to a bank account that you held with Natwest. While this account is a regulated agreement I would refer you to section 74(b) of the consumer credit act 1974 whereby any requirement to supply a copy of the agreement is exempt for curr
