  1. Hi All, Im sorry to say I too was taken in by LBL and signed an Agreement in a Hotel car park in the agents car (i know i know!) last May for £650. Judging by the huge amount of threads on this you inevitably know what follows - letters, phone calls, excessive charges, repo threats. Surly arrogant and abusive call centre staff we all know the LBL repertoire. They eventually clamp the car at 0500 thats AM! and i catch the clamper/repo agent, we do the paperwork and he takes the car - I'd bought a new car by then declared the old one SORN as it needed £500+ worth of work on it I was happy to hand it over to be honest. A letter arrives about a month later from LBL to say that the car was auctioned and that after repayments and charges etc theres some money left ..please find attached cheque for xxx - I'm over the moon! finance settled on a scrap car and a cheque to boot - result! Heres the catch! LBL ring me this morning, a bloke called ROB from LBL , about my outstanding amount? - What outstanding amount? :shock:You repo'd the car, Ive had a letter of sale and satisfaction - Aah well that was an admin error - so what about the cheque you sent me? - we cancelled that - no you didnt i cashed it on the 31 May this year - I'll send you a statement - dont bother Im not speaking to you anymore bye. :!:Is this a new LBL tactic? Trying it on for more cash? total set of B*st*rds:evil:
