Hello again... Lewis Group took delivery of my letters today, so now it's a waiting game to see what happens. I've also written to the Registry Trust to see if there is infact a CCJ, but I doubt I will receive that before I go on holiday (Friday) I am now going to put this out of my mind until I return.

Hello again.... I've not been able to access the internet over the last few days. I am in the process of sending two letters to The Lewis Group (both in same envelope) and sending recorded delivery. One requesting CCA and the other informing them that I have no knowledge of the debt. I have a feeling I will not get a reply from them, mainly because I have no Account or Ref No. I just put NOT KNOWN AS NO INFORMATION GIVEN BY CALLER I have also requested a search from the Registry Trust to see if there is a CCJ. I am due to go on holiday soon and hope I can manage to not let this spoil it for me.

OMG... If they do that is there anything I can do about it...? The only money going in there is Job Seekers Allowance

Thank you 42man However I don't have an account number or reference number, the card that was left only had callers first name, and mobile number on it. I can't remember exactly when I made a payment as I've not had a barclaycard since before my divorce over 4 yrs ago. I have recently remairried and opened an account with Barclay in my own name (which I've not had for over 20yrs when they took money out of my personal account and paid into my ex husbands without my knowledge when he was overdrawn and I closed my account) and a joint account with my now husband. I would have thought that as I had to prove my identity (former name) it would have flagged up if I owed Barclaycard. (maybe I'm wrong and the two are not connected.)

Thanks sea-sidelady. No there wasn't an address just a mobile number, the persons first name and The Lewis Group. All hand written What really worried me was when they said Pre Bailiff visit and a CCJ had been taken out. I told them I knew nothing of this and they said I had to check with local courts to find out. Is there a way I can find out?

It's not easy to stop worrying about this as I am due to go on holiday for 2 wks soon, my son will be staying here but I don't want to him to be pestered by them. Also I have now started getting calls from a withheld number who hang up when the answer phone kicks in. Hi all.... Being new to this perhaps I didn't explain my predicament enough. A rep from Lewis Group called at my home saying they were calling on behalf of Barclaycard who had a CCJ against me. They said this was a pre-bailiff visit and said the debt was for over £1,500, they wanted £122 in CASH only before the end of the month, and that I would have to contact the solicitors regarding payment of the rest. The only paper work they had was a small piece if tatty paper with my name and address, the amount owed and the amount they wanted asap from me. They weren't even sure who the debt was owed to as at the top of the paper was b/card and they assumed it was Barclaycard. I Infomed them that I had no knowledge of this and had no money to pay, they left me with a card with their first name, mobile number and Lewis Group written on it and said I should contact them before the end of the month. I really do need some advice on this as I am now extemely worried. Thank You CharmedAngel

I have no knowledge of this. and they wanted £122 in CASH (no cheque or debit card) within next 12 days or I would get a visit from the bailiffs. Please... Please... can someone advise me. Hello All, I am totally new to this and really need some advice. I recently had a vist from someone saying they were from The Lewis Group and that they were collecting a debt on behalf of Barclay Card and that a CCJ had been issued against me. I have not had a Barclay Card since before my divorce which was 6yrs ago. They want a sum of CASH (no cheques or debit cards) within the next 10days then I have to contact the acting solicitor to arrange payment of the debt.
