  1. I just find it funny that while I had a payment outstanding, he threatened me with a solicitor. But obviously that was an empty threat, otherwise he should do the same to them rather than just take my money.
  2. Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure if it's under a TDS, I have been reading about it, but I'm guessing it's not. Total rent would have been £1430. I've spoke to them so hopefully they will pay, but obviously they're not going to be that bothered - because it's me who is going to lose money lol.
  3. Sorry, I'm neither of the letters. There was basically five of us. Two of them have already received their full deposit (minus cleaning charges), yet I receive only a portion of my amount because two of the others still owe rent? I just don't see how it is fair. I mean we all have guarantors, so why is it me who gets punished because mine was the only deposit to be returned? Tenancy started on the 27th of September, which was the date I paid the deposit. Not sure about the agreement that was written because he never issued me with a copy! :-|
  4. Hi, Just joined to post my frustration here! My tenancy ended in June and I have now received this letter RE the deposit. "I have already to returned the deposits owed to A and B, but am still awaiting payment from C and D for rent owed. Having already allowed for their deposits, C still owes £69 and D still owes £43 - a total of £112. As your desposit is the only deposit I have remaining from your group of tenants, I will have to retain the amount owed by C and D (totalling £112) until they pay me the monies owed. As soon as they pay, I shall send you a cheque for the amount they have paid. ":evil: Is he really allowed to do this???
