  1. Hi

Last week our postman hit his bike into my car parked on my drive, its scratched and has a small dent on the bumper - which in my opinion needs a new bumper.

I contacted royal mail and the postie is denying it hmmm obviously he would, i know it was him because i heard a loud bang, immediately i shot to the window to see what it was and the postie was standing in front of my car with his bike (unfortunately i wasn't able to go to confront him due to just getting out of the bath angry-smiley-030.gif) i wish i had knocked on the window now to let him know i was looking..he then walked down the road parked his bike up then walked past my house staring at my cars bumper as he passed!!!

    Response from royal mail

I have interviewed postman who has denied all knowledge of hitting

your car and has stated that if he would of hit he would of knocked on to

apologise, I have been in contact with the cluster manager in charge of the

area and she has stated that with the postman denying responsibility there

is not a lot more we can do you will need to take it up with insurers.

Is there anything i can do? why should i have to claim through my insurance and lose out - due to some imbecile

  2. Thanks Peeps

But i think im gonna lose the car!! the had sent me a default notice, ive just called the collectors and they want 1k by tomorrow or they will have to return the acc back to car company so they can start court proceedings.

I start full time work next week, so i phoned the car Co to come to ask if they can add the arrears to the balance and start a fresh but the wont agree to it!

How long do you think the whole process would take because that could give me more time to try and get hold of the arrears money ?

  3. HI

I have a car on Hp and fallen behind with the payments, my account has been passed to debt collectors (certified bailiffs) now - the paid me a visit yesterday and posted a card to call them (i haven't called them yet) Plan to do so this afternoon but a bit scared due to lack of money!:(

I'm just wondering do they have the rights to take the car away?

I have paid over a third off the balance.

    Thanks

  4. Hi,

The bailiffs came last wed with a white van.. 2nd visit!! i ignored the door so they left a letter saying that "they will return at their convenience" i called them up to explain i haven't got the money as i am out of work & claiming contribution based job seekers. they told me to get the money 700pound or they will have to return on Monday 4th aug. i m not sure what to do!! i dont have the money, im behind with all my debts & mortgage and i dont want them calling round & getting the kids distressed and making a scene on front of the neighbors, im scared that if i go out they might break in with a locksmith, i know not to answer the door to them or leave any windows or doors unlocked as they can gain entry.

I heard that after 3 visits they pass the debt back is this true??

Thanks in advance for any advice
