  1. A draft letter to send to the credit agencies making them aware of any inaccuracies on my report, of which there are a few.
  2. Not yet. I'm waiting until I receive confirmation that the sequestration period is over. Still looking for a draft letter if there is one out there?
  3. Many thanks. I'll start the ball rolling shortly. I don't suppose there is a draft letter on this site anywhere? I can't see one.
  4. Many thanks. Over the past three years I've got used to living within my means and I don't see that changing. I'm assuming it's six years from when I was sequestrated as opposed to when the process completes?
  5. Afternoon After three hard years I am about to end my sequestration in April of this year. I'm wondering whether there is any advice from those who have come through the process on what I should be doing now and how to go about re-building my credit rating. Many Thanks D
  6. Ahh, yes. Thanks fot that. It has been over a year (15months) but my credit score according to Experian is 'fair' and as mentioned sits at 765.
  7. The bankruptcy is on there so i think it has been updated. Anyway, not going to call them and make them aware! Thanks for the advice regarding noodle.
  8. Cheers for the advice but been onto experian and they state i have a 'fair' credit score of 765. I would of thought it would have been 'very poor' or 'poor' at best. However, i'm not going to complain. Does anyone know whether this scoring is correct or have i been lucky?
  9. Cheers. I had noticed the Vanquis card but decided against it. However, i may consider buying my months petrol (£30) on it and pay it off in full each month. Just out of interest does anybody know what my credit score should look like? I was on recently and had a 'fair' score of 765....
  10. Thanks, but i'm not looking for credit and don't have any plans to get credit cards etc in the furture. However, i do want to find out the best ways to improve my credit rating. This is primarily so i can get a mortgage/phone contract etc in the future. Do i need to write to creditors and credit agencies (Equifax etc) to make them aware? Is there also a prepay card i can get to start mending some of the damage bankruptcy brought?
  11. In the next week or so i'll be discharged from my bankruptcy. Despite having to pay contributions for the next two years i am looking for some advice to move forward. Firstly, what can and can't i do following discharge? Secondly, i obviously want to improve my credit rating now and wondered how best to do this? Finally, any do's or don'ts/general advice following discharge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  14. I will get onto that tomorrow...thanks. In the meantime what do you mean by " is agreement is enforcable"?
  15. Thanks for that. I have an overdraft but currently eating into it paying loans and credit cards. Overdraft shouldn't be a problem at the moment (no doubt will be if i go over the limit!). So it's really credit cards and loans...i can't afford to pay anymore and the priority is the mortgage.
  16. Hi I am activelly trying to deal with my debt issues via CAB but know fine well before the calm there will be a storm. I want to shield my family as best i can from debt collectors calling. I realise there is masses of info on this site but are there any top tips or one stop shops with all the information required to have as little hassle as possible? Any advice would be appreciated. Regards
  17. Thanks. I am fairly confident that the house will be ok and sequestration is the only way out of this misery. That being said what is the best way to become sequestrated? Do i just stop paying everyone? I want it to be as hassle free as possible and don't want it to adversely affect my family (threatening calls etc). Is there any other hints or tips that would be beneficial when it actually happens? Thanks
  18. Thanks. I am assuming i could try a DAS and if it's too much of a struggle i could move into bankruptcy. My only really asset is my house but that is in negative equity.
  19. Sorry, don't want to become a serial poster but i had my meeting with CAB this morning and it turns out i could go into a DAS. Has anyone had any experience of these? The two options on the table are sequestration or a DAS....so i'm not sure what to do! HELP
  20. So i don't pay contibutions for three years? After a year i could start saving again for the future? Is there not also an option of buying out the threat of them taking the house off me? Someone had mentioned paying £500 to buy it out?
  21. Hi, sorry to sound like a broken record but any thoughts. Ida, hoping to draw on your expereince. Thanks
  22. Afternoon After several discussions with an insolvency practitioner it looks like i can't move into a trust deed because i am unable to pay enought to creditors. It looks like my only option is sequestration. Is there much of a differnece between the two and why is sequestration deemed so much worse than a trust deed. Ultimatelly, i just want to see light at the end of the tunnel and want this to be dealt with before i go insane....help and advice appreciated. Cheers
