  1. Hi there, I took out a small payday loa with these guys(and I was happy with the charges, and easily able to pay back). They initially told me it would be in the next working day, and it wasn't, so I contacted them, and they then told me it was 3 working days to clear. That was no good, as I needed the money fast, so e-mailed them to cancel it as they requested, and got one elsewhere that paid the same day. Now it has been paid in and all the e-mails I have sent(7-8) to 3 different address' provided by their customer service rep have all bounced. I dont want the money, nor am I willing to pay for it now I dont want it. What are my options here? Thanks.
  2. Hi there, Couldnt think of anywhere better to put this so I was going to ask here. The missus had a loan she was having trouble paying off, and when she asked for help, they offered her another loan. She has taken this. I had heard somewhere that companies are not allowed to do this. Whats the score, can you point me in the right direction please?
  3. Well, Bryan carter never paid the fee in time, so the court gave them an extension, and thsy still didn't pay. Case Closed!
  4. It went to mediation, but BC never contacted the court, so now we are waiting on a date.
  5. I did that, and the court havent heard from Carter since they sent the mediation letter. Also, here are the original Particulars of Claim: The Claimants Claim is for the balance due under an agreement which is now all due and payable. The Defendant agreed to pay monthly installments under account number **************** but has failed to do so. And the claimant claims the sum of 669.97. The claimant also claims interest theron pursuant to s.69 county court act 1984 limited to one year to the date hereof at the rate of 8% per annum amounting to 0.00. No evidence was atttached to the POC, and none has been sent in response to our request. The Claimant is listed as Royal Bank of Scotland and the address for sending documents or payments is Bryan Carter.
  6. What a shambles. The mediation period expires tomorrow, and we have had a letter from "Regal Credit Solutions" with the same account number demanding immediate settlement blah blah blah. Does this mean that Bryan Carter have sold the debt on?
  7. Well, I now have a letter from "Moorcroft" demanding the £96 or we go to court. What letter am I sending them to basically get them to nob off? Also, at the bottom it states: Please note that as we have had to resort to sending this letter, and as per the terms an condidtions of your agreement with our client we have added a £20 admin fee to the above balance.
  8. I think I will try and get hold of all the documents anyway, so i'm prepared for January(after all, its just an Xmas Job, and I imagine I will be back Job Hunting in January).
  9. I Dont have an attitude, but have repeatedly requested that people leave that issue alone, only to have more comments on that. I don't need or want any help with that situation, and am trying to keep the tread on topic. I have seen too many threads just disappear into meaningless side topics. As for the original Crisis loan, it was 6 years ago, so I dont remember. However the crisis loan people wont tell me or show any evidence, and I know the original payments were not £11 a week. I have the form to fill out(it arrived yesterday) so will do that, however its probably now not worth it as I have just been offered a Job starting next monday. Thanks anyway to those that gave some good advice.
  10. PEOPLE!!! If you want to help, please stop siderailing the issue. I have already stated that the rent is not what I want help with.
  11. They live at the Same Address, but thats not really the issue im concerned about, as I researched this a few years ago.
  12. I dont get any other help, as my landlord is a relative. According to the government I dont have to pay rent to relatives, therefore dont qualify for rent help. Of course If I dont pay rent I get kicked out. I understand about them claiming money back, and im sortof happy to pay it, even though it dates back to 6 years ago. What I really need is a way to stop them taking any money until an amount had been agreed and they have shown me some evidence of the debt.
  13. £64 a week, of which £50 pays my rent+electric.
  14. Recently, I signed back on to the dole. I had a letter today stating that JSA have been asked to take money from my benefit totalling £11 a week. No reasons stated. Upon speaking to 3 different people, 2 managers and a very rude and unhelpful staff member, it apparently dates back to a crisis loan from 2003. They have refused to give me any information or a letter stating the reasons why, or showing how much is actually owed. I cant afford to have them take this money out, as its too much. I can apply to them to have it lowered but its apparently at their discretion, and can take upto 28 days. Meanwhile i'm still paying this money out. If I owe the money, then I don't mind paying it back, but £11 a week is nearly 20% of my benefit, and would leave me with £3 a week to live on. Please Help!
  15. Purchased from Studio - Home Shopping / Catalogue Shopping - buy personalised gifts The trainers were £18, and I have now had a letter that unless I pay within 14 days they will pass it to "Moorcroft" t collect. Bear in mind that over £80 of this is default charges, and I never wanted the trainers anyway.
  16. Hi, Another letter from Bryan Carter. They have still not provided any proof this debt exists. The letter states they have received the defense from the court and note the contents. The want to settle the matter before the hearing, and avoid either party incurring costs. They want to settle if we pay them the full amount in 28 days or agree to pay £50 a month. The £50 a month figure is more than the full amount figure, and the full amount figure is more than they are originally claiming. The court has suspended the hearing until 20/11 as the judge thinks it is suitable for mediation. What should I do? We are not paying something we do not owe, and Bryan carter provided no documentary evidence when he made the claim and has refused to supply any. Can I claim against them for wasting my time, compensation for having to attend the court, and money for postage etc?
  17. Righto, this is a response to the letter we sent asking for evidence of the debt(The CPR 31.14) All it was was a copy of the original claim. No evidence attached, no significant data, just that we supposedly owe RBS this money.
  18. I have spoken to Littlewoods, and they are charging me £12 for "late payment". I have now been charged twice, as although I made the payment by the date requested, due to "bank clearing time" the payment is late by 1 day and 2 days respectively. Both payments were for £14.24, and they have charged me £12. What can I do about this, as surely this is an unfair charge.
  19. I made the payment myself, prior to the date of the payment. However, it has disappeared from my account, so I will await an actuall bill to come.
  20. I put we had no knowlegde of the debt, nor any debt with RBOS. Whats the POC? The letter was sent recorded, and I know it arrived a few days after.
  21. The court have sent back stating the case is suitable for "mediation", and we have to call them within 7 days, or it will go to court on the 20/11. Bryan Carter have still not responded, nor provided any kind of documentary evidence.
