I got my money back off them before, about £400.
Now I went over with a cheque and they charged me £25. I rang them up and they fobbed me off. I expected that though.
Its not much its just the principle that angers me.
I have a debt being paid on a managed loan account and a paltry solo card.
I dont particularly want a credit card I just feel disempowered by my bank. Fair enough my credit is not good I just dont expect to be charged again once I have been through the hassle of reclaiming.
The bank is pure selfishness and I would like to move to an ethical bank. Would they accept me? I have £168 pounds in a current account, and £2550 or something to pay back on a managed loan. I have had enough not only of the charges rather of being robbed.
Asking 'would they accept me' is indicative of the way the bank has made me feel about myself, as if I have no value and must beg the bank manager for favours. This is not true, in the relationship between bank and person there is no longer any way that the bank can be in a position of power for they require my money to have business.
Would another bank be a better option, say an ethical bank or so on.
I feel that I have allowed the bank to disempower me and make me feel low, poor, and unworthy and its time to see if there is something better.
Were worth more than being ripped off, fobbed off, manipulated and drained of cash.
I want to get the £25 quid back its just it might take ages of letters etc and I;d rather just close the account.
