  1. The debt recovery agency is called Moorcroft Will ignore everything from now on- Thanks for the help!
  2. Hi I was given a PCN back in February and have been fighting it ever since thanks to this website (I was given a PCN for having an out of date permit, despite having a note in the car. It was at the private property where I live and on the deeds I own a parking space. Furthermore, we have never seen the contract with the company which is meant to 'police' the parking) I initially ignored it but after I received a letter from the debt recovery company, I decided to write to both the debt company and also the parking fines company asking them to substantiate their claim. Ive also written to the debt company on several occasions, saying that the debt is in dispute and that they should refer back to their principal (as per the template from this site). Ive had no reply from the parking fines company depsite sending them 2 letters but Ive had several letters from the debt recovery agency. The most recent asks me to provide evidence/more information regarding the dispute. Another letter from the same people which arrived the same day (!) stated that some one from their hometeam is to call round to my house- I didnt think they could do this without a county court judgement? The previous letter was a litigation warning letter, stating that a file was being prepared prior to the comencment of legal action. Im now at a loss of how I should proceed to get the debt company off my back- Any ideas/suggestions??
  3. Turns out the parking fines company are acting on behalf of a wheel clamping company.
  4. Can some one help with this one. From what Ive read on this site, I dont think we have to pay, but just to be sure...... I own a flat which has residential parking. On the underlease and plans I have a designated parking space and there is also visitor parking, but people just park anywhere. Since I have lived there, a Wheel Clamping company have had signs warning that you will be clamped if parked without a permit. These permits were supplied by the agents who manage the buildings. Recently, I received a PCN for having an expired permit. My partner then also received a PCN for parking at the property despite a note in the car stating which property he was at because he didnt have a permit. Then a friend also got a ticket for visiting me (for 15minutes) for not having a permit! I wrote to the company and appealed to all of these tickets- surprise surprise- appeal rejected!! The management company admit to setting up the contract with a Wheel Clamping company but thats all they will do/say. Furthermore, the PCNs we received arent actually from the WheelClamping company but a different parking fines company- there were no signs up from this other company. Ive received a letter from a debt collecting agency demanding payment for my ticket and I know that my friend and partner will soon be getting similar letters- Do we have pay?? what do we do?? Any help would gratefully be received!
