Hi Dave yes indeed we won and its wonderful news. This is obviously their way of being sore losers and inconveniencing me slightly lol. At least it it was worth it in the end and i did not have to pay their stupid over inflated pcn.
JK - I would need to ask them to find out the reason for the different location. Its a silly set up if you ask me. Im guessing its been discontinued and so the court assumed they did not need to inform me.
I never got anything from DCB legal, the court letter is dated on the 25th Feb, i don't know at which point it was discontinued.
Yeah that's a great idea and making sure people check before attending. I did phone yesterday but it was after 4pm and they were not answering the phone. Ill know for the next time.

Good evening guys many thanks for your posts and advice. Im sorry for the late reply but i fell asleep on the sofa when i got home.
The good and bad news is that the case has been discontinued, the bad news is the claimant did not inform me of this. I wasted fuel and paid for 2 hrs of parking to find this out.
Not that it matters now but the lady in reception told me that the county court was in Gloucester today and not Cheltenham however my letter clearly says Cheltenham. So i'm assuming the county court moves between the 2 courts.
I was actually looking forward to getting a judgement in my favour but it was not to be. The woman told me that the claimant should have informed me.
Anyway guys i thank you all times a million for your professional assistance with this one. It looks like they new they would lose and gave up, its appalling that they allowed to waste the court's time as well as mine.

JK many thanks for clearing that up. People seem to think you can but at the end of the day im not out of pocket by much.

Jk apologies i thought you meant website by WS. No i have not received their WS.
Dx many thanks for your help i shall read through the County COurt FAQ. The address on the front of the letter says - county court at Gloucester and Cheltenham, 1st Floor, Cheltenham magistrates court, st Georges Road, CHeltenham, GL50 3PF.
lookinforinfo many thanks for you informative reply, i was going to go there straight from work but i can always come home first and put my suit on.. I wont be losing any money im afraid as im on the early shift this week and i finish at 2pm. I can claim for fuel, research and parking costs. I looking forward to celebrating lol

Good evening folks, i have my hearing tomorrow at 3pm. I have never been to court for a civil matter, what is likely to happen and what do i need to do?
I plan on going straight from work, i finish at 2pm, it will take about half an hour to get there, does that sound ok?
I called the court late this afternoon, sadly i was too late in the day and the office was closed.

Good morning guys. I called Jacobs and asked to set up a payment plan. They told me I have to pay the £189 in 4 monthly instalments, i told them i cant afford this right now, they told me to seek financial advice from CAB sigh.

Thanks Dave
Dx many thanks for your reply. Spooking the judge is a great idea
I hope i win this case, its such a waste of everyone's time but the stupid process must be followed.
I have just been here a couple of months longer than you, i did not realise i joined in 2006, where has all the time gone

FTMDave - Its very impressive indeed how you have excelled in this department and you can give the advice and help the way you do.
The team on CAG go beyond the call of duty to help others including myself and i will be forever grateful and appreciate all the help.
I do donate occasionally when i can its good to support the site.
I did see someone recently on the Stroud facebook page complaining about a parking charge and i posted a link to the site and mentioned the kind of help i got on here.
I got over 15k of debts wiped thanks to the the amazing help from the team on CAG.
So do i just turn up for the court hearing on the 17th Apr 3pm? Should i just follow the witness statement story?

Hi Dave many thanks for your reply. Does that mean the court does not need a paper copy? I assumed it would but there no point driving there and back if its not essential.
-
FTMDave - Yes its brilliant indeed ha ha its what crooks deserve. Would i be right in thinking i should hand deliver the documents to the court tomorrow afternoon and there is no need to send them to UKPC now?
-
FTMDave - I got the emails sent using the Gmail method i previously mentioned. I formatted the email like you suggested. The WS and the 5 Exhibits . I took a snapshot of the sent items in my email client and saved it. I got an auto reply from all 3 addresses.
Dave amazing work indeed, when i read through the WS again i was blown away with how professional it is and your now on my christmas card list lol
Brassnecked i have used Thunderbird in the past. I have 8 email addresses and i tried to use a client that can handle them well in an organised way and that is free. Im not sure what email accounts you guys have but im thinking you wont get an email receipt unless your email account supports it. Im interested to find out what accounts you are using.

FTMDave - many thanks for your reply.
That is the same Bluemail instructions that i found online but it does not seem to exist on my version, the Outlook one does not work either even though i ticked read receipt, must be dependant on your email account. I found an add on for my browser, it works with gmail and it works fine
Ok im off to get started on the email now

Dave - i opened Outlook on my pc as it has the option to use read receipts, it never did anything though in a test email.
-
Hi Dave 'Bluemail' client for windows desktop i also have the app on my phone. I looked for instructions on how to do this on my desktop client, the option is not there, i'm not an expert on read receipts but if Yahoo and Gmail don't support this im a bit snookered.

lookinforinfo - many thanks for your kind words. It takes me ages to type anything, i have been using pcs at home for over 20 years and i still use 2 fingers. I do know how to spell most things but its amazing the amount i have to tweak with the spell checker. Then i have to read over it 3 or 4 times, putting words in and out and changing any punctuation. I'm not certain the rules around full stops and commas but i give it a good go
FTMDave - many thanks again for your wonderful reply. Points noted regarding the WS. I have done a digital signature and dated the bottom of the WS. I have just spent ages trying to figure out how to get a read receipt, i have yahoo and gmail email accounts but neither of them have read receipts. I think gmail used to have them but it seems its only the paid version that has them. You can seemingly get addons but i'm not sure how reliable they are. Any suggestions?
Just about to add my details to the top of the WS.
-
FTMDave - many thanks for for wonderful reply and the posting the other attachment, ill print it tomorrow as the other ones are already printed. Ill also write neatly the exhibit numbers at the top of each page. With regards to emailing the exhibits shall i just name the files exhibit 1 to 5?
could you be so kind as add lookinforinfo's 2 good points, i might muck it up with dodgy grammar and formating
lookinforinfo - no problem at all and many thanks for your wonderful reply. Your addition points are excellent too. I would add them myself but i might muck it up, i need someones professional touch to get the format and grammar correct
like you said it worth adding to the end if it helps my case
-
Lookinforinfo - many thanks for your very helpful posts and advice. You must have missed it but i already found the excel vs wilkinson document on another site so its printed off too. As dave has suggested i will email it to the court on Sunday afternoon
FTmdave - i cant thank you enough for what you have done, im very impressed with how professional it has been done and very factual. This is amazing indeed. i Will do as you suggest and send an email to the court on Sunday afternoon. I will pop over with a paper version for peace of mind.
Is there anything i need to include for - 23.8 (exhibit 3)?
When it comes to sending the WS to UKPC, is it only the WS i send or is it everything?
-
Jk thanks for confirming this
dx thanks for your reply and clearing that up
dave many thanks for doing the work to the WS your a star , im afraid i dont have any contact details for the friend who helped me and he stays quite far away in somerset.
I did mention to them about my car problems in the appeal but they never provided a copy of this.
-
hi slick many thanks for posting the link i dont need to pay anything, i dont intend to ever use Self assessment again but you never know what the future holds

Hi
dave thanks for letting me know.
I have seen online that the courts are closed fri and mon however some might be open on sat or mon, i tried to call the court but its closed now.
I forgot also regarding the bank holiday.
All i can suggest is you do you magic when you have free time and ill get it to the court at the earliest convenience.
I might phone on sat to see if they are open or not.
Hi ANdy thanks for your reply.
On the gov website it says all courts are closed on fri and mon however some may be open on sat or mon. Ill try calling on sat.
-
hi dave
i really appreciate your offer
. Im happy to wait if thats ok with you.
I would rather do a better version slightly late lol.
The court is actually in Cheltenham its no problem to drive there and deliver it once its ready.

lookinforinfo - many thanks for your reply. It would be very interesting to get the letter of discontinuance. The court receptionist said that the county court was in Gloucester 'today' so that makes me think that some days it is in Gloucester and some days its in Cheltenham, it was maybe changed by the courts and i was never informed, who knows if DCBL were or not. My costs were a gallon of petrol and £3.40 for parking.
I certainly don't want to end up in court again that's for sure but never say never lol. Its utterly disgusting the way these crooks can legally treat motorists but that's the uk for you. I'm originally from Scotland so it's good that they are not enforceable there but they certainly still try to get money out of you.
I have to admit i have lost count of the pcn's i have received in the last 2 yr and 4 months since coming to England for work, most of them stop bothering you on their own eventually, it was just this one that they took it all the way. Like i mentioned in my WS the the likes of Aldi and other companies can get them cancelled but Mcdonalds refused to help me despite me being a very good customer.
brassednecked - many thanks
honeybee - many thanks
