The debt was from a CC, via MBNA, which I had trouble paying, and wrote to. I explained I couldn't keep up repayments, and offered a sum I could afford. I had no response for a year or 2, then the Harrassing Letters from Connaught started. Since I hadn't heard of 1st Credit, I sent the CCA, and here we are now, 1 year after asking for the proof. Thanks for the quick reply

I sent a CCA to Connaught Collections, for a debt Relating to 1st Credit Ltd. They claimed I had an outstanding balance, that they were chasing on behalf of 1st. I have had no communication from 1st Credit whatsoever, and included this information in the CCA. I sent the letter recorded post, with £1 postal order on the 11th June 2009. I have now received a new letter from Connaught (dated 12/07/2010) claiming they sent the supporting paperwork (which I have not received) and are continuing with the threats of Court Judgements. I'd like advice on what to do next. Surely they have taken too long to respond, and failed to actually produce any documents. Please help. Simon
