  1. Hi debtinfo, A doubt has irised! According to the insolvency.gov.uk Frequently Asked Questions, the Court will usually regard the country where you carry on a business or earn your living as your centre of main interest. The Court will also consider the place where you normally live, i.e. your country of habitual residence. If you are not employed or self-employed your centre of main interests will be the country you normally live in at the date of the petition. So, what would you say that may happen in my case, when I intend to move to the Republic of Ireland, where individuals are discharged after 12 years of being declared bankrupts? Is it correct to assume that the judge will apply the bankruptcy rule of the Republic of Ireland where I will move to after being declared bankrupt? Thing is, I file for bankruptcy in the UK, the judge declares me bankrupt and then I move to Republic of Ireland. So, eventually when I inform the OR that I'm living in Ireland, can he say that because I'm living there I'll be discharged after that number of years? Thanks for your help.
  2. I'm filling for bankruptcy in London, where I live, and will move to Ireland thereafter. Can anyone on here tell me what banks in Ireland open bank account for bankrupts? Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. Hi old_andrew2007, I actually meant Job Seeker's Allowance rather than Income Support. So, do I entitle for it or not? Thanks again for your help.
  4. Hi, That's basically my doubt, I am fullfilling my notice period and I will file for bankrupty at the end of it. Will I be disqualified for Income Support and Housing Benefit because of my bankruptcy? Thanks for any help.
  5. Hi, I'm about to be made unemployed and threreafter am planning to file for banckruptcy and the mention of Tax Credit associated with bankruptcy on this thread caught my attetion, as it's making wonder if bankruptcy would disqualify me for income benefit. Could anyone asnswer this, please. Thanks.
  6. Thanks for your reply and appologies for my late reply. On the other hand, I suppose being unemployed doesn't stand on the way to file for bankruptcy, or does it?
  7. Hi Folks, I'm filling the forms for my bankruptcy and section 11.2 of the forms (Cause of Bankruptcy) requeres an explanation to support my reason to file for bankrupty. Could anyone let me know if the explanation of being on £13.000 per year for the past 6 years and living through ever rising living cost without my wages catching up with the living standard would be a good reason? Also, if anyone can, fill me in with plausible reasons, please. Thanks in advance.
  8. Hi Folks, I'm in the process to fill for bankruptcy. I've been living in London for almost 10 years and have battling debts for the past 4 or 5 years. Would there be any problem in filling for bankruptcy in London and move to Ireland (Southern Ireland, Dublin) soon after being declared bankrupt? I hope to get any help on this topic. Thanks in advance for any help.
  9. Not quite so JOgs. I ddin't have months to reply to it. The letter was delivered to a previous address where I lived, as I've been moving around with some frequency and by the time I found out about it, I had only one week left to reply to it. I guess I shoud hear something from it next week... As for the money, I decided then to resume payment to some of my creditors. As I said, I'd stopped to pay them in order to pay QQ. Now, I haven't got money enought, that's all. So, What to do?!?!?!?! Any advice? Thanks. a
  10. In January I'd to take a rushy loan in order to pay for the deposit of a place to live and resorted to QuickQuid. I could not pay the whole amount on Friday 27th March (it'd be the second payment) and requested an extension from an amount of £409,00 and every time one requests an extension they apply their exorbitant interest rate. The fact is, I found out two days before the due date for the payment that one of my creditors issued me with a Claim Form and I decided to call off that payment without letting them know, as I'll probably need the money to pay against the outcome of this claim. I suppose that the reason I got the Claim Form was becaue I had defaulted my agreement with my creditors in order to try to pay off QuickQuid. Can anyone help me by telling me what I should do? I really don't know what to do. Also, I've hit rock bottom and am feeling very distressed with all that. I was (and still am) planing to file for bankuptcy. I don't know now if after this claim form, I am allowed to do it. I'd like to know an answer fot that too, please. Thanks for anyone's help in advance.
  11. Ok, Thanks and am sorry. On the other hand, for a matter of tidiness, do you think you could delete the second, third, fourth, fifith and sixth post as they are unecessary, please. Thanks, a
  12. I also have a problem with a payday loan company - QuickQuid. I could not pay the whole amount on Friday (it'd be the second payment) and requested an extension from an amount of £409,00 and every time one requests an extension they apply their exorbitant interest rate. The fact is, I found out two days before the due date for the payment that one of my creditors issued me with a Claim Form and I decided to call off that payment without letting them know, as I'll probably need the money to pay against the outcome of this claim. Can anyone help me by telling me what I should do? I really don't know what to do. Also, I've hit rock bottom and am feeling very distressed with all that. I was (and still am) planing to file for bankuptcy. I don't know now if after a claim form, which is being dealt with by Payplan, my debt managment company if I am allowed to do it. If anyone knows the answer for that, please let me know. Thanks for the help in advance.
  13. Hi Folks, This is my first appearance here. I'm a new pursued debtor fighting my way through the payment of my debts. Anyhow, I've been informed by Droyds that my account is "R/d live account". Could anybody let me know what that is? Best regards, Alienontherun:(
