  1. Thanks, i will give it a go!! I'm just scared that they will follow through on their letter and start legal proceedings.
  2. Hi, In september 2009 i sent a letter to 1st Credit requesting a true sign copy of my CCA. I received a letter back from them saying that the document is being retained by their client (Associates) and that it would be sent to me as soon as possible. I have not heard anything back until now!! They sent through a letter stating that attached was a 'true copy' of my agreement. However, it just looks like the basic wording of a credit card agreement and does NOT have any of my details on it i.e. credit limit, signature etc. It looks like they have put it together themsleves!! I ignored this but i have now received another letter demanding payemnt or legal proceedings will start within the next 7 days. This debt will be 6 years old on the 29th Octobver 2010. I don't know what to do next. Should i write back and say that they haven't provided a 'true signed copy'? Any help or advice is much appreicated.
  3. I've just had a look at these forms and i'm finding them quite difficult to fill in. It's probably just me being thick but if anyone can give me some advise that would be great!
  4. Is anyone able to point me in the right direction of where i can find the forms to set aside an SD?
  5. Oops, sorry. It's my first time on here and a bit confusing. Thanks for the info.
  6. Hi, thanks for your response. This debt isn't over 6 years but as i haven't heard anything in the past couple of years i thought it was finished with. Naive, i know!! Regarding getting the SD set aside, ami right in thinking i need to fill in a form and take that to my local court?
  7. I have just received a Statutory Demand. It says that the debt originates from the Associates but is being served by 1st Credit Ltd through Connaught Collections. It is for £1700 from a few years ago i think. I've been reading other feeds and have seen lots of info with people having the same problem. Would you advise me to ring Connaught in the morning or should i just post my CCA letter tomorrow and wait to see what happens? Any help would be much appreciated!!
  8. Thanks for moving my post to the right place, much appreciated!! The debt it for £1700 and a payment has not been made on it in a few years i think. I thought it was all done and dusted!! The SD came in the normal post, don't know if it was 1st or 2nd class though. I'm a student and still live with my parents, i do have some money in my account but it's from my student loan, would they be able to get access to this?
  9. Hello, i would appreciate any advice that people can offer. I have just received a Statutory Demand section 268(1)(a). It says that the debt originates from the Associates but is being served by 1st Credit Ltd through Connaught Collections. I do not have any statements relating to this debt as it is so old, so i'm not sure how i go about getting these as proof of how much i owe and how much of it is charges. Can anyone help me? I'm very worried now. Thanks.
