Or STOP DEBT, maybe. The only thing I really have to say is what I always say when a DCA has bad news or closes - HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! :D:D:D:D

I'd agree with that - if the council have told you that in writing, it's as good as a written confession - that of complicity in an offence. And that's just as guilty as the one who commits the offence, and ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it. I hope you really come down heavy on them for this, as this is an arrestable offence. If the bailiff is arrested, then so should the policeman involved.

All politicians are the same - at least they are if they represent any one of the three main parties. I've long been of the opinion that all three main parties are not worth anyone's vote. I've said before that trying to choose between them was like trying to decide which one was the least foul out of three dog turds. I'd like to have seen the Lib Dems get in on their own, if only just to see the face of crushing disappointment on both Brown and Cameron. Now, that the Lib Dems have been exposed as sell-outs, I daresay that not very many on these boards - and certainly none who've read through this thread - will be voting for them. After all, how many Lib Dem voters thought 'I'm not voting Tory', unbeknownst that a vote for the Lib Dems effectively WAS a Tory vote? And if they were really sincere about getting rid of 'cheats' and fraud, there'd be nobody left in Parliament.

Whocallsme - The truth and nothing but...
F_DCAs replied to F_DCAs's topic in Debt Collection Agencies
Just a thought on the email address side of things. Because it constitutes written contact, they'd have to be a lot more choosy about they say within an email as opposed to phone calls. -
I'd recommend a CCA request also.

Whocallsme - The truth and nothing but...
F_DCAs replied to F_DCAs's topic in Debt Collection Agencies
I use EBay from time to time, but it isn't something I make a habit of doing. I notice that DCAs are using email as a means of contact more frequently now. Does anyone know of a site similar to whocallsme that deals with company email addresses as opposed to phone numbers? -
As far as the clamp goes, I hope you haven't forgotten anything Storage Fee Levy Fee Administration Charge Van/Transportation Charge + VAT The bailiff's response suggests that irony is not a concept he's familiar with (or possibly even aware of). And yes, I'd go after them for compensation just for the inconvenience if nothing else.

J D Williams/Meritforce/mackenziehall
F_DCAs replied to carlastc's topic in Debt Collection Agencies
Agreed. Meritforce/Mackenzie hall being able to obtain a copy of a CCA is next to impossible, so a request should be made (at the very least by recorded delivery and Track-and-Trace). Then, once they fail, the account enters dispute status, where it will stay until the relevant paperwork turns up. You need submit no more CCA requests if you've already sent one - regardless of which DCA or company is dealing with the account. -
help with complaint - Wescot are phoning my neighbours
F_DCAs replied to superstarjan's topic in Debt Collection Agencies
Wescot must be getting desperate if they're doing this. I'm not surprised, but this is a smaller scale transgression for them, seeing that it was Wescot that refused to co-operate in the investigation of the Beryl Brazier suicide. Wescot are to be ignored and no dealings made with them - they've no right to be trading at all. -
Just had time to look at that TR letter in further detail :- Matter referred by HFO Services, but purchased by HFO Capital Ltd. Wasn't there a huge thread dedicated to this very issue? Payment accepted by credit card? TR shouldn't be encouraging further borrowing. 'will be processed', 'will be sued'? Outright threats and intimidation. It is unlikely you will be able to raise any defence to legal action - Court's discretion, not TR's. Once we obtain judgment - Hopeful of an automatic win, are they? Yes, the Solicitors Regulation Authority should also receive a complaint about all this.

I'd name names in the complaint to the council head - it does seem that this case is really building up with causes for complaint. Oh, and ignore HCE - I'm not the only one to notice that lately he's become increasingly more antagonistic to new posters, at the expense of being increasingly less useful to these boards overall.
