  3. Hi all, long time reader (infrequent poster!) Looking for some advise please - I'll give you a brief breakdown! Bought a car (2nd hand 02 polo, 68k miles) from a independant dealer last week, with a 30 day warranty. Noticed a knocking straight away, but was late for work, so didn't turn back. Put the car in for a full service at a different garage - more for my peace of mind. Had a call today with the following issues ceramic shattered in the cat converter front brakes worn power steering problem fuel mix problem. They also said that the brakes which had been replaced at the back were a "bodge job" What are my rights? The garage offered a 30 day warranty, but nothing in writing. I need the car for work and ferrying the kids about, so I can't do without for too long! Thanks in advance people!! Ian
  4. Allocation Questionnaire returned to the court yesterday. If I get cold feet and want to pull out, can it be done? Cheers, Homer!!
  5. Marlow - mine is only tickling £420, and they a dragging that one out. I think these lot are the most obstonate of the banks!
  6. Hi Jon, I phoned MCOL and the court - nothing on the system about the Counterclaim - have sent them an email asking to confirm this fact. The only thing I can think of is that it has been a mistake - From reading French Williams thread, the fella who was dealing with all this at SC&M was on holiday when our defences got sent etc. I can only assume that the person covering has ticked the wrong box! Cheers, Homer
  7. Morning Mr French, I don't believe it is anything to worry about - that cause is not in mine either, or quite a few of the recent ones? Did you have anything in yours defence pack about them making a counterclaim? Cheers, Homer
  8. Cheers Jon - keep me in the loop!! seems strange all this!!
  9. I am at the same stage as you - did your paperwork mention anything about a counterclaim?
  10. Robert, Can I ask whether it is SC&M representing LTSB? Cheers, Homer
  11. I too am dealing with them - dealings so far have been like Kotum mentioned - leaving everything till the last possible moment! Good Luck!
  12. You'll not be saying that in a couple of months time!!
  13. Agreed with Closey - I am in the position in which LTSB or posturing towards a counterclaim - but after contacting MCOL and the local court. nothing seems to have happened. Although please bear in mind that nothing is a certain thing in this life. I personally am going to continue - what's the worst that can happen!
  14. Gone back through previous paperwork, all consistent in their reference numbers. I have also emailed MCOL just so I have something in writing, so like you say. all bases are covered. I would be interested to hear what jon700 et al found when they phoned, as he was in the same boat, so to speak!
