Hi I'm in the same boat as it were, Just ignore them, most of their threats sent to UK addresses are just that threats,As for those sent abroad they aren't worth the paper there printed on. They soon give up wasting their time and money. I even got an SD sent to me abroad (had to laugh at that one, SD sent second class to an unconfirmed overseas address, talk about a waste of money). They really are just a bunch of sad ignorant bullies. So please don't worry

Six months ago got a letter sent to me at my sis address from 1st CRud. Re barclays (they gone bust yet?) anyway sent them a bogoff letter I don't live there etc (I really don't and have never lived there) two weeks later got the next risible missive in their repotoire, sent them a very strong F-Off or else letter. then nothing til last week when this arrived at sis house, I'm sure a five year old wrote it. (The red bits are my thoughts) CONNAUGHT COLLECTIONS UK LTD Dear sir, RE: 1ST Credit - Barclays Bank - £******* We have been instructed by 1ST Credit Ltd-Barclays Bank to recover this debt. (HELLO WHAT FRIGGING DEBT, AND I STILL DON'T LIVE THERE) It is now our intention to issue a Statutory Demand (Terrible grammar, why the capital letters?) under the Insolvency Act 1986 (Bankruptcy), as we are unaware of any valid reason for your non-payment. So today they got sent a 'boggoff he don't live here' letter. So now I await the next call from my very irate sister. (Irate with them not me)

I seem to recall a thread with all dca contacts (phone address etc). anyone know where it is? Or does anyone have the address for the head A-hole at connaught as i need to send him a personal BOG-OFF letter as they are sending letters for me to my sisters address. This is not the first DCA that have done this, I have managed to get the others to disapear. But am now wondering how they associated me with her address? is there some big dbase somewehere with me at her address? if so how could I get it removed? any ideas ? Ok update, you'll like this. As i said CQ issued an SD, but ages ago, before i found CAG i got letters from these clowns about two other debts (they were sent ot my sisters house). my 80 year old mother who lives there panicked and started to pay them £30 for one account and £25 on another. I of course manage to just about scrape the money to pay her back each month. But Now they send letter (to sisters house, so obviously two thirds of their database think I live in uk at sis house, though I never lived there, and one third thinks I live in Portugal) re one debt saying £25 not enough we want £30. So need some HELP need a good letter to tell em to go * off plus They should pay back everything my mother paid them and they can Lump all my debts in their SD. any one got any ideas how to word it, Thanks

Hi, just got an SD from capquest sent to me in portugal! They been sending usual crap threatomatic missives for about six months. All were ignored, so no confirmed address. What can I do. I can't go for a set aside as I dont have the airfare or money for a hotel in london (SD says it must be set aside at High Courts of Justice,Strand). I don't have any assets in uk or portugal. so was thinking hey let them do it waste there money. Would also get rid of other debts AND THEY'D SHOOT themselves in the gonads as am already paying £55 pm for two other debts to them. Has anyone let themselves be made BR if so what happens after the 18 / 21 Days

hi ex bt here. wont work. wont get technical, but soon as they hang up that line/channel becomes free not matter what you do at your end. sorry. But what could work is this. they probably using 30 channel isdn. so 30 people all call them at once (make sure caller id is off) if they answer just talk crap to them, but while your all calling they cant call anyone! of course any current bt engineers having problems with dca's would know how to "accidently" put them out of action for a while nudge nudge8-) not that I'm advocating any such goings on. just passing on some knowledge

Another update, had more silly offers and threats and the one from the ceo offering a very special deal, one a week more or less, ignored them all, this weeks missive was a threat of an SD which they are going to personally serve! (who's going on their holidays from capquest to scorchio land then?) Not that they'd find where I'm living even local delivery drivers cant find it! they even went to lengths to kindly explain that i could have it set aside at my local court ( just worked out nearest uk court is 2765 miles away, is that local?) and at the bottom one last final offer of a reduced final payment that I can repay at any amount I chose a month??? I of course ignored this one too. But a serious question can a SD be legally served in another country? Not that I mind as I own nothing in the uk and only own the clothes on my back (and a few in the wardrobe) in scorchio land and my bank account in uk is zero and not much more here.

Latest update from CRAPQUEST Your right about the drivel, not cca'd them yet saving that one for later if i need it, but had the standard HL solictor threatogram, ignored it. today got a strange/funny ha ha one , saying the solictors have suspended my account ( DOH what Friging account??????) and i got to pay 80 per month they even attached a direct debit form, which was nice ( I aint got no bank account in uk DOH) or else court yada yada yada, they even included a freepay envelope ( That'll come in handy in the winter to light my log fire cos it aint no use over here for anything else) THEY REALLY ARE THICK NUMBNUTS Then at bottom of letter they offered a full and final (about 800 quid less than the alleged debt) and I could even pay it over three months mmmmmm me thinks they are on the run. Quite looking forward to their next missive:) they gonna get their scottish solictor after me OCH AYE THE NOO ! Knowing how the courts work over here I'll be pushing up daisies long before these twats get their paper work up to scratch ( they even spelt the name of my adopted country WRONG that'll go down well)

Ok looks crapquest fi---nally got the message, recieved letter from them here in scorchio-land saying they have brought debt from clydesdale. Have not received letter from clydesdale saying goodbye at my sis or here! What should i do? cca them? (does that still work overseas?) can they claim debt overseas?? Thanks in advance for any advice.

further update, letters posted. but heard today from sis via my mum that TELOGRAM have been repeatedly phoning her neighbours asking if i live there!! so she contacted CAB. they told her to PHONE telogram!! despite my telling her never to phone any of these schisters. So she phoned them, gave them the length of her tongue and told them to stop harassing her OR ELSE. they denied they'd been calling neighbours. they got another tongue lashing basically "not to tell f***ng lies" they then said well we'll have to check our computers further ( ha ha ! ) now waiting reply from TS. and hoping she dosn't get bombarded with calls. we'll see what tomorrow brings. Just a thought in case anyone in authority reads these post;- When will the powers that be SHUT THESE PARASITES DOWN!

Ok Update time, sent letter to aic giving my address in scorchio-land never heard again from AIC but, today my sis got a letter from capquest reguarding this debt. Am not sure what to do as am already dealing with capquest re another debt. Should I cca them or just give my address here, or both? Thanks in advance for any help/comments
