  1. thank you tadg, i will try to follow up on your info and will come back when i have some more info. gazza.......
  2. thanks guys for your valuable replies,i have spoken to the police and he has more or less stated as roncarron has in his previous post. the problem now is that the police have had 2 copies from the shop and cant view either of them with vista media player and they are sending it away to find out how to view it,i did tell the officer that it is probably compressed and the guy in the chip shop would have the program to view and unpack the footage it now also turns out that this smack head piece of crap has assaulted 3 other girls and got away with it,lets hope the police can get there act together this time. thanks again gazzzza........
  3. thanks scratcher. i need as much advice as possible with this as i will not let this druggie just walk away from this on some tech point.
  4. my daughter was violently assaulted in a local chip shop last saturday the man was arresested and has or will be charged. there is shop cctv footage covering the incident and the police now have a copy,i want a copy of the footage because if the legal case breaks down for whatever reason i intend to make a private prosecution. i have asked the chip shop for a copy and he says its to much aggro as he has to get someone in to do it he also states that the memory card or disk will be deleted tomorrow evening as it is on a loop. does my daughter have a legal right to this footage either from the ploice or the shop. i said to the shop owner that i believed that if i requested that the tape not be destroyed for legal reasons he was not allowed to then copy over it,he said he can do as he wants with the tape. any advice please and it is fairly urgent as it seems this could be deleted tomorrow. thanks gazzzza........
  5. thanks again buzby. i spoke to bennetts today and they are delivering tomorrow,i asked what had been done by sontec to correct the problem this time, the engineer said he didnt know,i said i expect to see something that tells me what the repair was. do they have duty to tell me? thanks gazza............
  6. thanks for the advice buzby. if this repair doesent fix the problem,as the last repair(new psu unit replaced)didnt fix anything, can i then insist on a replacement? thanks again gazza..........
  7. i have plasma tv in for repair in Bennetts repair shop they couldnt find the fault so they sent it to a firm called sontec who were told by panasonic that its a known problem, whether this is true or not i dont know. i had a message left on friday stating they would bring back the set next thursday they will then have had the set for exactly 6 weeks. i have phoned them every week for a progres report. my questions are. 1:can i reject this now as they have taken to long to fix it. 2:can i insist on a extension to my 1 year warranty as the set only has 2 months left. 3:or is there anything else i can do or ask for. thanks in advance gazza.......................
  8. hi you will have to bear with this problem i have as its a bit long winded. this all happened from june this year. my father 75 has had his home phone via british gas for some years they then passed him onto onetel who in turn passed him onto talk talk or so he believed. all his bills come via talk talk,we decided that it would be best for him to have daytime evening and weekend calls free for one hour,so i phoned on his behalf via the number on the bill and ask to be put through to sales. i told the chap that i had the talktalk website on in front of me and wanted to take up the £5 ish package he said that the price had now changed to £6 ish i asked dad and he said ok go ahead,i was told the plan would cost in total £16 with the line rental,i asked them to put in writting the total costs including line rental which they did on the 11th of june. this read along with other stuff package £16 ish so my dad thought fine this is what we agreed. nowhere in the letter does it mention line rental, but it does state within the package you are allowed 60mins call to mobiles (which has never used). he had a bill shortly after for around £100 he didnt bring this to my attention (but this was made up from the old tariff and the new advance line rental) he then had a bill last month for £87 this he brought to my attention although it had been paid by DD. i then contacted talktalk who new nothing of us,they said it must be a onetel account which we were not aware of. i spoke to onetel and they tell me we/i agreed to a call plan of £11 for the daytime evening weekend call plus a £5 add on for 60mins of calls to mobiles. this was never agreed by me and was never even mentioned to me. we were never told we were talking to onetel we believed we were ringing talktalk as that is what is on the bill and any letters. i believe that the person at onetel realised he was going to lose a customer then agreed to give a plan he had no intention of putting through,he knew it would be read by my father (my mother had died just before this deal was done so dad and myself were not studying paperwork as well as we should have)i believe he made the total £16 by frauduallenty adding the £5 60mins mobiles addon to the £11 package and knew that the paper would read £16 and there would be no mention of line rental in the confirmation letter they sent out,so dad was none the wiser. i am getting nowhere with onetel although have spoke to talktalk and are now in the process of changing to them. please give me some advice as to what to do. i actually believe this to be fraud more than a consumer issue but really dont no where to go with the problem. i am waiting for a callback tommorrow but im not holding me breath as i was upposed to get one today. this is a foreign call centre they will not put you through to a supervisor stating there is no one in charge there. help please.............
