  1. hi all iv read so much here and on other sites and am still confused. I am originally a woolwich account holder but as you know they have now merged with barclays. The account i hold is a Current account, basic with no overdraft or anything else. I am on income support and have no money going into my account apart from income support and child benefit.Well after a big mess which resulted in my income support ending,Talktalk attempted to take money from my account for my bill but as no income support had been paid it wasnt in there, and as you can guess it made my account overdrawn.I wasnt even aware i could get overdrawn and iv never requested and overdraft nor agreed to one.But anyway as a result of the overdraft one day later barclays added a £30 paid referall charge to my account, which then made me overdrawn by -£78.42 That same day my child benefit was paid into my account they immediately took it all and left me -£36.12 overdrawn A few days later i went to the cashpoint to withdraw The last £40 from The savings pot attached to my account.Took it out no problem.Got home and was checking my account status and couldnt believe i had yet another £30 charge put onto my account. After going through it all i found when i took out the £40 instead of withdrawing it from my Savings pot the bank took it from my main account.I immediately went onto the transfer money page and moved the £40 into my main account then I called them to query it as it was a mistake on their part. The women said that the charge was set to go through on monday and to call then as it could be cancelled.I did that.but after checked again today the charge was still taken.then yesterday my child benefit went into the account and they again took it all and left me -£28.82.The child benefit is the only money i have for myself and 3 children to live on right now so them taking it all has caused alot of problems. Could someone please tell me if i can claim these £30 charges back? and is there any rules on them taking my benefits? any help would be very much appreciated.Thankyou so much
