Just found this thread. My own experience with Atos is two fold.....firstly I work for Royal Mail and we have these idiots as occupational health,last year I had them trying to finish me from my job I`d done for 22 years on ill health despite me saying that I wanted to return with a few reasonable adjustments under the DDA. Whilst this was going on my sick pay ran out and I was told to claim ESA which I did,I got the assessment rate and then the dreaded questionaire which I filled in telling them all about my brain disorder and how it affected me,I then had to go for a medical with one of their quacks and was in 20mins top,during this time I wasn`t asked how my conditions affected me,was just asked the usual can you make a cup of tea bull,when I got my letter off them I had scored NIL points and was fit to do any work! So I actually had two reports off them....one from work saying I should be ill health retired on a full pension as it was doubtful I'd find gainful employment anytime soon and one off the DWP saying nothing wrong with me and I am fit to work! I had by this time been issued with my notice to be finished from work,so I got onto my union who once again had me going for a medical with you`ve guessed it Atos...I go into the quack who still says I should be finished so I showed her the report off the DWP saying FIT for work,she then told me to go back out of the room to the waiting area but I could see through the glass door that she was on the phone(I can only speculate that it was to Atos)hey presto 5 mins later I`m told to report to work on the following Monday. I have subject access them and was amused to find on one of the business referral form that `his future sickness abscence should improve dramatically.`Something that is amazing as there is no cure for my medical condition:rolleyes: Since being back at work they have not done a risk assessment and would not even allow my disability advisor from the shaw trust to come in and do a work based assessment either or offered me ANY reasonable adjustment....I`m now feeling very ill again and going in tomorrow and once again going to ask for a indoor duty until my condition levels out,I expect the usual brush off.

I will be onto my broker tomorrow to buy some shares then!

Thanks for the replies. I don`t usually talk to anybody on the phone but my daughter had arranged to phone me at 1 o`clock so thought it was her,anyway I`ve had enough of these clowns. I`ve had a Barclaycard since 1987 and am sure that I just filled in a mailshot application form do you think I should send them a CCA and if I do will it affect my DMP?

I`m hoping for some advice.Long winded sorry! I`m in a DMP with CCCS and most of my creditors have been okay EXCEPT MBNA and Barclaycard who set RMA onto me. They have been nothing but pains in the arse,refused my offer of payments and ringing constantly even at work(which caused a great deal of embarrasement)now I have already sent off the telephone harrassment letter and also a letter off BOTH my GP and Neurologist as I have a rare condition called IIH which affects the Cerebal fluid levels in the brain and one of the worse things is that stress leads me to having seizures. I was off work for 14 months because of this condition(which got me into debt)but after having a shunt inserted managed to return back to work on reduced hours, now thanks to these twats I`ve had two seizures again after 6 months of being seizure free. I answered the phone today as surprisingly I`m off work again and it was RMA after the usual fun of the security bollox routine I asked the Piers Morgan to cut to the chase. RMA:Mr Mannerheim about this debt? Me:What about it? RMA:Are you going to pay the full amount of xxxx Me:No because I can`t afford it!Also why are you STILL ringing me after I`ve sent a telephone harrasement form and you`ve had letters off my Neurologist and GP asking you to desist. RMA:Because we are a Telephone based company and you owe our agent money! Me:Well I`m telling you to stop ringing me AGAIN. RMA:We will continue to ring you until you deal with this now! At this point I slammed the phone down,five minutes later the phone goes again,let the answer machine pick it up,it was them again. Any help would be appreciated.

Funny you should say that Scarlet as thats exactly what has happend to me today! They said that they hadn`t received payment off CCCS and have started adding charges again even though I`ve paid them on time.

I like some of the comments on the website. God some people are thick and full of the I`m all right jack attitude.

I just hope that some of their bullyboy employees end up with money troubles.

They have done the same thing with me! Does this mean that they are going to pass the debt onto a DCA then?

Not true my mate has been on one for nearly 7 years,he`d have been better off going for an IVA.

I just use my native Finnish on them. Or if I want a laugh I use an Arnold Schwarzenegger soundboard off the t`internet...STOP WHINING cracks me up when they start effing and jeffing about.
