  1. Hello there, In Nov 07, I was billed for £90.60 for my NatWest credit card. I duly paid the sum in full amount on 4th Dec 07, well before the due date (8th Dec 07, which by then it is understood that interest would be charged and a minimum of £5 will be debited from my current account). As I am holding a student credit card, a direct debit of minimum payment of £5 is a must according to the terms of service. In Dec 07, I received a statement stating that Natwest Credit Card has received my payment on the 6th Dec but yet direct debited me £5 on the 8th Dec! This is were all the subsequent problem started. At the time of the £5 direct debit (which Natwest shouldn't even have in the first place since I paid my bills in full on 4th Dec), my current account does not have sufficient balance to meet the payment. For that Natwest has wrote to me and charged me "Unpaid Item Fee" for £38!!! On top of it, Natwest Credit Card has charged me £10 for "Return Payment Fee"!!! All in, I have been charged £48 for apparently nothing! I have tried walking in to branch and talk to the 'friendly' counter staff as well as the 'well-mannered' manager at no avail. Can I make a claim against Natwest? Who should I direct the claim to? Natwest Banking or Natwest Credit Card? Thank you. Any help appreciated. MechTech
