  1. I'm amazed they manage to find their way to the office each day, or even dress themselves, at least they are providing us with a cheap laugh, because that is all they are good for, laughing at, Ha Ha Ha!
  2. I'd be up for that, maybe we could get some green custard.
  3. I wondered what was going on when I could not find the thread, I suppose it makes sense. Good Luck
  4. You can ask as many questions as you like (I know I have), better to get it right rather than send off a letter with mistakes in it. I have had dealing with Thames and it took very little effort to get them off my back, have a look at my thread in regard to them. Alex_DeLarge V's Thames Credit
  5. Just a thought, I subscribed to the thread in question back when it was only a couple of pages long, I have not posted on it yet but can view it after it was made private. Does this mean anyone who subscribed before it was made private can access it now? If this is not an issue please ignore me, but I though it was worth mentioning as I am sure we do not want the wrong people looking in.
  6. Lowells sent me a NOA for a credit card debt I had with HSBC (this is now done and dusted due to me winning SD set aside hearing), it was received via normal post. I had been making payment for a few months then stopped after they defaulted after failing to supply my CCA. The original default date was 2005 but as I had stopped making payments to them I am convinced they will have placed a fresh default on my credit file which will not drop off for another 5 years. For obvious reasons I do not want to register to view my credit report, but would like to know if there is new default on there (which Lowell had no right to add), because if there is I will be making a claim for damages against them. I am sure there are many others in the same position as me, is there a way to find out without giving all my current details to a CRA?
  7. The fact that abuse is increasing against DCA staff shows that people are a lot less scared of DCA's than they used to be, and are no longer afraid to tell them where to go. Another indication that things are turning around in our favour.
  8. There are enough people on here to make sure every TS office gets a letter. I would send one to TS, one to OFT, and one to Lowell.
  9. I agree, it would be the wrong thing to do to just sit back and let them get away with it, they are probably doing it to many, many others and if no body complains they will carry on regardless.
  10. I had dealings with Lowell regarding an old 3 account, from what I have seen they cannot provide any sort of proof for any of the 3 accounts that they bought. They backed down straight away after receiving a letter asking them to prove it, this is not usual for lowell, and after the appearance on watchdog regarding the 3 accounts, I doubt they want any more bad publicity. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/debt-collection-industry/164250-alex-delarge-lowell-3-a.html
  11. I wonder how much the appearance on Watchdog has cost them, £100,000 or £1,000,000 maybe £10,000,000 Maybe they will have to lay a few of their staff off now
  12. UPDATE Received letter from Lowell informing me that they have made a mistake and that I am not the debtor they are looking for, all details removed from system (yeah right) and no further action will be taken (until they sell it on to the next bottom feeders for 2p). Another positive result thanks to CAG. Alex DeLarge 2 - 0 Lowell Will post copy of letter soon. Cheers Guys and Girls.
  13. When I said right now, what I actually meant was, in a couple of months. Anyway, "Prove it" letter sent this week via recorded delivery.
  14. I can't stop laughing at that, although I shouldn't, because its true.
  15. I may be going down this road soon so I would be interested to find out if you can still take court action against these thugs.
  16. I was waiting for the next letter to arrive and this was it, I will send 42man's letter tomorrow and hopefully thats the end of it.
  17. And here it is, arrived today. The only reason I can think of as to why they have not sent a copy of my CCA, is because they can't get it, or maybe they are just being awkward. I will send the account in dispute letter 42man posted a couple of posts back from this one. I wonder what the required information is? They mention it twice in the letter but don't actually say what it is, how can I supply it when I don't know what it is. They have my name and address and the £1 fee, they should not need anything else.
