  4. We were on Assured Shorthold Tennancy up until March this year. Due to issues with the letting agent (we asked for a new contract and it was never provided), we moved on to periodic tennancy. At this point I had drafted a letter to tell them we will pay them 200.00 which I though was fair and above and beyond what I want to pay them. BUT I have since received a letter from them stating the check out report is incorrect and they will provide me with a new one in 10 days!! (wtf) I expect more items to be added to the list. 5. We just moved out of a place and we disagree with the deductions that are being claimed. 1. New Freezer needed The bottom shelf on the freezer is cracked due to a design issue. 6. Hi I was made an offer today of £2000, but we were asking for £2700. What I want to know is, should we proceed to court? and if so, generally how long does it take for the money to come back? And what are the chances of us having our bank account closed?
  7. I just realised I sent the wrong letter to HSBC. I sent the "Letter before action" rather than the "Preliminary approach for repayment". Does this matter? I received a reply from HSBC that pretty much said, go away we are right. So would I just send the same letter "letter before action" (slightly edited), or what?
  8. I was just wondering if anyone has had HSBC close their account after claiming the charges back?
  9. BBC did have an article today on the front page ... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4940250.stm
  10. Does any one know which address I should sent my initial letter to? Would it be the branch I opened my aco**** with, or would it be the central address in canada square? Also who should the letter be addressed to on the envelope?
