  2. I have an Abbey loan, and I'm 100% sure it has PPI. I have looked for my agreement but can't find it. Is there a template letter for me to send to request a copy of my agreement? Thanks

  5. SO..... I'm driving down a road this morning 9am, which has been changed down to a 30 limit... And there leaning up against a telegraph pole is a little 5ft police lady with a hand camera clocking people as they go past!! She must of caught a ton of people because she was right where the lolly pop lady gets wearing a big yellow jacket just like lolly pop would, hiding half her body behind a telegraph pole with her car tucked down a side road... very CRAFTY!!! One is hopeful that I wasn't speeding the first time I past her when I didn't see her!!!!

I really can't afford to pay the 1700 back. Appreciate anyones help!

  15. I'm not sure if it is either?! On the "letter of Engagement".. It says.. " Based on the above information, we have recommended a Financial Management plan as the best solution for you." They basically make 25quid out of her a month and pay her debts with the remaining of her monthly payment. "our management fee is charged at a rate of 17.63% of your disposablr income. There is also a minimum and maximum fee bracket. The minimum fee that will be charged is set at £25.00 and the maximum at £100 in any one month. the 'disposable income amount' is the payment you make to us on a monthly basis, to distribute to your creditors on your behalf, and is payable motnthly. This management fee will be deducted from your monthly payment, before the remainder of funds are distributed to your creditors." I don't know how long the arrangement is for but I reckon from a rough working out from the amount owed and the amount she pays that this arrangement will last atleast 20 years... CRAZY..
  16. Hi, My partner has a debt of 28k to 11 different Credit Cards, Loans and bank account over drafts. Curently these debts have been consolidated to one monthly payment through a company called Ashley Park. She pays them in the region of 120-130 a month. But to be honest these payments do not seem to have reduced the figures by one penny after she has been paying them for around 18 months. Which to me seems like a pointless exercise as the overall debt is not reducing. Going this way it would seem like she would be paying this consolidated figure for ever!! Which is not going to help her get financially stable for a long long time.. I have suggested that I think its a good idea to go bankrupt, and clear these debts this way... Can anybody here advise whether they think Bankrutcy is a good solution in this case? Also on a side note.... If it is a good idea, would it be advised that we close our joint bank account and reserve account?
  17. Any chance you can scan in whole letter? (obvioulsy with your private details erased)(I would mine but I dont have a scanner) Maybe somone out there like Bankfodder that knows what they are talking about can have a look and let us know what they think?? Cheers
  18. Hey guys, I just got something through out of the blue.. Its the first contact I have had from Abbey since they frooze their action against me.. The letter is labelled a Transaction Summary Statement and it has a notice date on it that appears back dated to 15/08/2009. Along with a balance due. At the bottom of the letter it has in a a box "Dispute Resolution". "If you have a problem with your agreement, please try to resolve it with us in the first instance. If you are not happy with the way in which we handled your complaint or the result, you may be able to complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service. If you do not take your problem with us first you will not be entitled to complain to the Ombudsman. We can provide details of how to contact the Ombudsman." Does anyone know what this letter means, or is about?
