  1. Thanks for your advice, it is much appreciated however I feel I am now too far down the 'further action' route as I have already threatened court action (as advised by Trading Standards). I have little confidence that they will resolve the problems with the PC if they take it away again (yes it is the third hard drive) and even less confidence that they will not make us go through the whole process again should we need to report another fault. One of the main reasons we didn't accept another repair in the first place was because somebody in customer services told me that I could refuse

Hi all, i'm new to the site and was hoping that someone might be able to offer some advice or opinions about how to deal with problems I am currently having with a faulty computer I purchased from Hewlett Packard. I'm now at the point where I don't know what else to do. I’ll try to keep it brief! I purchased a new desktop PC directly from the online store at HP (which I would not recommend anybody to do) back in November 2006.
