  1. Thats what i thought, as for the tenancy agreement, i havent had one of them in a few years! The only time the landlord gave me an agreement was when he put the rent up. I have been told today by the council and citizens advice that he is breaking the law by refusing giving back the deposit as the house is sold. I just dont know where to go from here.
  2. I have lived in the property for 6yrs. The house was put up for sale in the summer and is sold. I am moving out this weekend but my landlord has said that the deposit will come to me if there are no structual repairs needed and if there isnt any unpaid bills! (and will take about 3 weeks) I thought if the house has been sold as seen and the property is left in a clean state when i move, he shouldn't refuse to give back the deposit?
