  1. Me too. Looks like we're all in the same boat.
  2. Well done Druid! Time to sit and be patient now, I'm afraid! You'll not be getting owt of any interest from the bank for another 28 days! Good luck
  3. Yeah, you stick with it! Where do you live? Can we all come to the bank with the bailiffs?
  4. Oh, rubbish. So the appointed hour came and I requested judgement this morning and, as expected but not as hoped, Barclay's defence has now appeared. Oh, well... I've done without the cash for such a long time a few more weeks isn't going to hurt and the amount only gets bigger everyday! I guess they can't forget everytime!
  5. Oh, brilliant! Did they just call unprompted? (I must make sure they've got my numbers - I'm sure I've been trying to keep them from having my phone number so they can't harangue me for being in debt!) Well done for sticking with it and congratulations!
  6. I thought it was the 11th! Not that is matters! good luck twinkle - surely the fact it's not on small claims will only make them more desperate to settle out of court?
  7. Hi, Do do it before 9am though. (I confess to not knowing what time Fifi and the sodding Flowertots is on! Come the day I'll have only the excitement of filing for judgement by default to get me out of bed that early. Tense isn't it? Good luck with the baby too. Steve
  8. Dear Mrs Chapman From avidly following the adventures of Nightstar, it looks like they might have given up (at least while Keith Jeremiah is on his summer holidays - good for him and good for you and hopefully me!)... I think they probably have until midnight tonight and then you can press the button for judgement in the morning. If you do this before 0900 - and I am sure your kids won't let you sleep in - then you should get judgement by default confirmed tomorrow - but read Nightstar's thread for someone who know's what they're doing. My defence date is also imminent so I am hoping they don't get themselves sorted out while KJ is away! Good luck and well done for sticking with it! Steve
  9. Yes, excellent indeed! Most excitingly for me, KJ seems not to return from his much deserved hols until after the date for them to submit a defence... fingers crossed! Looks like the end is imminent for you, Nightstar, but you may be denied your TV appearance with the bailiff! As Fastpass says, better than a soap! Steve
  10. Looks like you're there though! Well done, here's hoping they forget about me too! I look forward to reading that you've got the money!
  11. Oh, good luck! Maybe they're all side tracked by 'Twinkle' - see they're thread and BankFodders response last night? It would be brilliant to get settled at this stage! Steve
  12. ...and when they answer, they won't give a clear response about whether they have or haven't ever manually intervened. The fact that they don't answer with a 'yes we have' can be taken as an indication that they haven't. good luck! Steve
  13. Well? I'm impatient! They've got until 4 September to submit their defence to me, so I am having to live my claim vicariously through you! Let's hope that KJ is too busy to defend everything now and we can win by default instead (it's easier for them too isn't it?)! Cheers Steve
  14. Hello all, We've paid about £100 in charges on our joing account to Smile, I wondered given that this is a relatively small amount whether anyone had had any success in getting this refunded by ringing them up? Cheers and continued good luck to everyone! Stevie T
  15. Hi, Just to say good luck! I'm about a week behind you and claiming for a similar amount (shocking ain't it?), so watching with great interest... Steve PS I do have my own thread, but there's not much of interest on it... it's stevie t vs Barclays
  16. Just an update to say that MCOL is showing that Barclay's have acknowledged the claim, so I guess that means they buy another 4 weeks for their defence. With 8% interest that's nearly another £20 coming my way!
  17. It's been a while cos I get easily sidetracked but my MCOL form was submitted just after midnight last night. I then had trouble getting to sleep with the excitement - it's the first time I've ever taken a major multinational corporation to court! Claim is for £3070 interest and charges over 6 years and c£650 in 8% interest. And they offered a mere £1000 as their goodwill gesture!
  18. Hello! The site is brilliant - thanks to all those who run it and contribute! I can't wait to get my £3K back so I can make my donation! Great to see the headline figure over the million pound mark too! I've sent my prelimary letter and am about to send my LBA, but I've just picked up my first charge in 10 months (£30 because the cash machine allowed me to take out £20 when I only had £6 to play with) - can I add this on to my LBA letter and schedule? I see no reason why not. [i rang Barclays to ask for this one back, but they said my charges were already under investigation so they couldn't] Thanks! Stevie T
  19. Hi, I got the same standard response letter yesterday so am waiting for the 6 year statement (and the shock of just how much they've had off me!) I don't really understand the paragraph about Manual interventions: do we have to put in another request to get this information, or won't we get it from them? Thanks and good luck everyone Stevie T
