    Claiming over 5k

I'm sure i read on here somewhere that it's a slightly different procedure if your claim is for more than £5k but i can't find it for the life of me. Anyone have any idea? Also, is it better to put one claim in, or two to make it under 5k and therefore go through the small claim courts? Are the initial stages the same anyway? tia
  2. Ok, i called them and they pretty much said no because there was arrears on the account and the accounts were closed. If i were to pursue it to court would they have to pay me via cheque or would they be allowed to claim it from their card first? Any advice appreciated. Thanks
  3. Hi Everyone After filing at court two weeks ago and my cheques being cashed for 2 claims i have with tsb credit card, i've received an offer this morning. The offer is a good one, and i'm happy to accept it but i'm bothered about where they're going to pay it. They say that they will 'credit my account' once they've received my acceptance. I don't want this to be paid off my credit cards, and if it was i'd rather it was paid off one than the other as this would leave a remaining balance. What i really want them to do is to send me a cheque so that i can use the money elsewhere. I am going to call them this afternoon - any ideas as to how to solve this problem? advice would be appreciated. Thanks
  4. Hi I'm just putting this together and wondered if you could clarify for me - can i list the charges of £12 for repayment? Thanks
  5. Hi Thanks for confirming that. Is this the right POC for the credit card claims?? http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/show-post/post-1160938.html Thanks again
  6. Hi I've 2 credit cards with tsb that they have been charging me on. I've written to them and got hold of the statements and sent the first letter asking for the money back in October. I then sent a letter before action in November and another copy at the end of November. They haven't acknowledged any of these letters on the first account, then on the 2nd they wrote to me and said this.... even though we do not agree with the OFT's interpretation of the law, we made a decision to cut these charges to £12 on the 29ths june 06. No recommendation about previous charges was made and we do not plan to make any alteration to charges made in the past. As a result we are not in a position to offer you a refund. I assume this is completely standard but would appreciate if someone could clarify? Also i now want to file at court for both of these (i assume that is the right thing to do now?) is it the same process as with bank charges? Appreciate any advice. Thanks. RKMTA
  7. This is where i'm stuck how can i get the breakdown of these charges. Would hsbc send this under the dpa request or do i need to specifically ask for it?
  8. Hi I am trying to claim back some charges on a hsbc business account. I have the statements but don't have the cover page which detailed what the total charges were etc. How can i approach hsbc for these? will they send them if i just send a dpa or do i have to specifically mention what i'm looking for? tia
