I recently closed my paypal account as I bought my daughter a "designer coat" off ebay, when it arrived it was cheap and nasty so I contacted the seller to ask to return it only to be told she didnt do refunds. I put a claim in through paypal and they said I had to get proof that the coat was a fake by going around local designer shops who sold that label and asking them to check the coat and then give me a letter to say its fake Now why would a shop want to do that for anyone when they have nothing to do with the coat and why would I want to embarrass myself by even asking them? Paypal`s policy`s are c***!

My thoughts exactly! When you sign a cca it usually states in the T&Cs that you are giving permission to record information with the CRA`s, however as they have been unable to produce my cca (90 days has passed) then they do not have proof that I have agreed to this term so surely they must be in breach of data protection?

Is there anything you can do to prevent them doing this?

I am currently in dispute with a certain car finance company. They have failed to produce my cca within the time limit but are updating my file with late payments. What I want to know is are they allowed to record information with the CRA`s even if they have not produced any documention I requested?

Oh well looks like i`ll have to dip into the pot for my new stuff....and I wont be buying them from argos!

You should see if you are entitled to working/child tax credits. You are then entitled to help with the school uniforms, just not school dinners.

The following criteria must be satisfied: · The claimant is entitled to HB or CTB, or both. · You are satisfied that the claimant requires further help with housing costs. 10. Well I got the letter today......COMPUTER SAID NO! I wouldnt mind I`ve only got 1 satisfied default which will be gone 7th March all my other payments are up to date

I SAR`d them and they still havent sent me my CCA or account details from November, just a load of photocopys of useless information!

I rang their customer service dept and she said it takes 7 days and although I`ve been credit checked it is still showing as "being processed" :?

Vic, Argos use experian. I have checked my file and they have done a search and are listed as home retail credit. Which file did halifax classic card use to check you? I dont want to apply if its experian as I dont want too many searches on my file.

Computer always said no for me then I applied for a capital one card 4 months ago computer said we need to process more and I got a letter of acceptance 5 days later. Are they usually strict when giving out these store cards?

Yes the store card. I am moving house and need a few bits from argos so I thought I`d try and get them on credit as it is interest free if you pay within 6 months then right up to 27%

Has anyone had one of these and what is the acceptance like. I have just applied online and although it states instant decision, it said they are processing my application and will let me know within 7 days. So they havent said yes but then again they havent said no!
