  1. Hiya, Natwest have sent me a computer scanned image of my loan agreement, the date has clearly been amended. I spoke to them today, it was confirmed natwest shread all their loan agreements- they scan everything onto this system apparently. I was told this scanned copy would stand up in a court of law. But if that is the case, Mr natwest could amend my original loan agreement, then scan it, and there is nothing i can do? Has anyone had this problem with natwest or any other banks. it seems to me not a true copy? Please anyone, please help xxxx
  2. Hiya, Today i recieved a letter from Natwest confirming"they cannot find my ORIGINAL loan agreement". But they the mircofiche copy "will stand up in a court of law" any ideas Any winners from nastywest? Have Natwest tryed this Microfiche crap with anyone? if they binned or shreaded contracts, and scanned it as they have done, documents can be amended, then scanned? Thanks
  3. :o Hiya guys, Did all of the above , thanks ever so much for your advice. I had to call natwest again today, as they were meant to call me back (no call). Spoke to to a new agent whom informed me that their scanned copy of my loan agreement would stand up in a court of law,"thats why Natwest bought the sysytem in the first place""we dont need to keep the originals" "we dont keep copys of the original agreemnet,we scan them" I asked where the originals are , i was told you had them in deep storage" she said "We shread the originals",! She confimred that twice! She said she would write me a letter confirming the findings, and she repeated the above again. Do the courts accept a scanned copy of a loan agreemen:o t? Even if natwest some how blow the scanned image up and make it more readable. I so am worried now Thanks Guys xxxxx

Hiya, Well the account is in dispute, so i was advised i could withold the payments untill they compled.(after the initial 12 days were up) Natwest have confirmed by phone and will confirm this in writing that they cannot find the original agreement. I have the monies for the loan payment, im just withholding them.... Natwest havent attemped to take the laon payment from my account either, as it is in dispute. any ideas xx
  8. Im feeling great at the mo, if you wouldnt mind looking at gizmos response...... What do you think they may do now? x
  9. Hiya Gizmo, I sent on 16/09/2007 for a true copy of the agreement under CCA1974, nothing at all, so after 12 days i can withold monies untill they produce the copy. Today i have been told i am being sent a letter from natwest confirming that they cannot find my agreement... any ideas....
  10. Hiya, Natwest's customer complaints cannot find the oringinal agreement, according to a girl i spoke to today at the centre. She said the lady dealing with my case is back on Monday, and due to write me a letter. I advised the girl to put it onto the notes that i wanted headed paper and this letter sent to me asap confirming all of the details. I have suspened the payments to the loan account, and natwest havent attemped to take it either. The question that i must ask, say for instance i get this natwest letter confirming the above, Natwest havent a leg to stan on right? All they have is the badly scanned copy, that you cant read, so if it goes to court and the trading standards get involved etc....., what happens if Natwest somehow find the original, after sending me the letter saying they havent got it? Thankks:-|
  11. Hiya, I sent a letter to natwest on 16/09/2007, for a true copy of my loan agreement ,and only a compuer image, blurred and unreadable. More than 12 days have passed, so i believe i am within my rights to withhold monies untill they give me a copy of the loan agreement. I have been a very good customer and they are being really annoying!! I feel they dont have my original copy. But hey ho..... ive done my bit I have sent a letter to customer realations and handed one into my branch, as these things go astray..... Thanks so much for your help xx
  12. Hiya, Just a quick note, spoke to natwest who are clearly panicky. They told me they charge 30per hour for someone to go into deep storage and obtain my original document. What a joke!! Thanks Dave, i will sit this one out, ive sent them a letter of complaint,(from the templates on this great site!!!)and told them im withholding monies untill my "true copy" of my loan agreement comes through. Thanks
  13. Hiya, Just spoke to natwest customer relations team whom told me that someone would write to me, as the original is in "deep Storage" and can take 8 weeks to retrieve it.??? How can i tell natwest im not paying any loan amount back untill i have my true copy of the loan agreement? Any ideas? (any templates i could use?) How can i stop them from sending the loan to a baliffs?,whilst they sort out this issue? Thanks so much
  14. Hiya, im still at initial stages really, still paying the loan , never missed a payment. ive sent the agreement to [edit] who are looking into it for me. If the true copy doesnt come about, and only the scanned copy is avavlible what rights do i have/
  15. Hi there, I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with natwest. I Have now requested 3 times for a true copy of my "loan Agreement", and 3 times i have been sent a doctored, copy from natwest's archive system that is totally unreadable, the date has clearly been amended. i was told that all natwest have is the scanned copy "because how can natwest keep lots of loan agreements on paper"?? (as stated to me by a telephone agent) What can i do next? Is this loan enforcable? Thanks xxxx:) :o
  16. Sorry!, I have sent my loan agreement to loanslayer.co.uk, a company that deals with unenforceable loans etc... I was wondering if i had a case,in the sense of my loan being unforceable due it being doctered, amended and the copy being unreadable, missold and natwest saying they dont keep the original only a copy on the archive scanned system. Thanks x
  17. Hello there, Thanks for taking the time to read my message. I applyed for a loan from NatWest in November 2006,via the telephone. This was to consolidate a previous loan and pay off credit card, i have never once defaulted, missed a payment, nor been late. I requested my original loan agreement, and was told by a very rude customer service agent"why did i want it"?"where is my original etc". 2 weeks later i recived a "copy" of the original, which had been printed from Natwest archive department, it wasnt the original at all, not even a photocopy. The quality isnt good. but the shocking thing is , clearly the date has been amended on the agreement, and on the actual date head office signed it off, differs completely.(The signature is a squiggle and the date is 16/11/2006?)(The date on my agreement is 9/11/2006 or 9/09/2006 whichever one is the true date!!!)Whover amended this i dont know! Have i a case, as i cant hardly read the copy NatWest have on file, and the customer service agent said "they dont keep the originals after one year anyway". I have a un readable, doctered, and amended loan agreement, which i belive was mis-sold (thats another story, i was called on a agents mobile,he stated that he would get the loan overrided for me, and just to send the documentaion back!!!) Please has anyone got any advise Please Thanksxxx
