thanks for that..two things can one of the mods move this to the gneral dept forum. also my bank have told me that I cant remove my name from this account unless my ex boyfriend agrees and comes in to sign saying so. this is very bad as he is saying he won't until the overdraft is cleared. Now that may take some time and bearing in mind his 'habit' he could keep spending any payments I make. Are the bank telling me the truth or can I just write and tell them that I want to remove myself?. please help as this is growing

I was added to my partners LTSB account in February I have made 4 payments into the account form my own NatWest account in may. This is the only use of the account i have had. I recieved bank statements on wednesday that show the account is £4000 over drawn and he has a gambling habit spending up to £1700 a day. Am i liable for this debt? how do i find out if there are any other debts that he may have that will effect me?
