  2. Right; exams are over so I can concentrate on this mess. MBNA (Barclay card) SAR has been sent but not back yet. Wescott on behalf of o2 wrote to say they would investigate with o2 and cease contact. Today a letter has arrived from Wescott stating that o2 have investigated and want pursuit to continue. O2 have removed their data (3 defaults) from sons credit files but have advised and I quote " the account was credit checked in the name of Mr ------- , therefore you are liable for the balance" Are they seriously suggesting that regardless of their acknowledgement of the error that they really believe son is liable for payment? Absolute madness. I suppose it follows then, that son is responsible and liable for the debts of people who share a similar name? They must be as the address and date of birth are not sons. And its a pretty common name too.
  3. Not a problem GSMguy. You are correct. It is only the default I am concerned with. I have sent SAR to BH so just waiting. I have decided I would like to see the background to my situation! Then I will request the default to be backdated. Hope its not too long a wait.
  4. : ) I can't give you any rep postggj as apparently I have to spread it about a bit first! But I will as soon as I can. Thank you so much. Off to start with Barclaycard then!!
  5. Your right! http://www.businessbankaccounts.co.uk/2011/04/07/barclays-acquires-credit-card-portfolio/ Barclaycard took over MBNA just last month. I take it, in law, that they are responsible for any thing that MBNA did before takeover?
  6. There is separate Barclaycard default too. Its for a lot less money and registered 14/04/2010. Will do some investigating. Thanks for all your input. Very helpful. I will SAR both MBNA & BC. Was going to do Equifax & Experian too.
  7. Experian shows that MBNA reported a linked address on 05/07/09. Equifax shows MBNA reported a linked address on 06/12/2009 Both created the same linked address - son has never lived at the address First search is 14/05/2010 by UK search Ltd. The only DCA that has made a default entry is NIL/CREDITE LTD 30/01/2010 All the other defaults are in lenders names. SAR to MBNA !
  8. No I didn't. My first priority was to get the files cleaned for son. How could I do this postggj? If we SARN the two CRA's that might show who had the earliest entry? My first thought on this was that it was actually the credit reference agencies who were responsible for the confusion as they picked up ER entries. The DCA's started as soon as son went on the ER.
  9. The Equifax report is back and has been amended to remove the defaults. The search information still shows the DCA's, Wescot, UK search etc. Surely this should have been removed also? I think I will insist on this being removed, as its not sons info and regardless of whether it gets used in credit scoring or not, it would be used if any manual search was done. One of the DCA's on the file has written to son to confirm that they have already removed this but it's still there. Experian have said they have removed all adverse data now but have not sent a free file. They want son to request another file, preferably online. As all this wrong info has disqualified him from getting a debit or credit card so that can't happen. We will have to wait for another paper one. Son is very relieved and wants to apply straight away for a bank account with a debit card, as he is hopeful that he might actually get his debit card and mobile in time for his traveling to begin at the end of the month. Any body any idea how long it takes this good info to make its way through the system? He also wants to ask for compensation. Should he just ask or get a solicitor to do it for him?
  10. I'm doing the two day introduction wiseradviser training in June. The coursers are accredited and should I decide to continue the subjects covered will be Dealing with Debt, Dealing with any Emergency debts, Income Maximisation, Negotiate with Priority Creditors and Northern Ireland Court Procedures. There are 3 training levels; Generalist, Skilled and Specialist. It sounds good.
  11. Hi Rich You have arrived at the right place for help, just a pity that I'm not the right one able to help. But I'll say hi and bump you so that somebody with the right knowledge can see you. Acenden is a servicing company as far as I'm aware. They look after all the mortgage companies previously owned by Lehman's. Have a good read around the site. Theres lots of info on them. Good luck
  12. Mcjohnston Post 38 & 40 I have explained this enough times for you. There is no point in my explaining to you again. Your posts express your somewhat arrogant and condescending attitude to my situation very well. Have you informed the guys who own this site, the mods, the site teams and all who visit here that you have decided to change the entire ethos of CAG? That this is no longer an advice and information site? That you have taken over as Moral Judge of CAG? If, for some reason you want to drive people away from these boards, well, you are doing a good job.
  13. No I don't know that - but I will find out. Good idea. Thanks wannabe
  14. I don't think you read the whole thread. I told BH that I was going to declare BR in 2008. Their rep visited the house and was told I couldn't afford the car.I did not decide not to pay. I couldn't pay and expected the car to go. It was left for BH to organize the collection - not me. In 2010 I phoned them, as I had had no contact from them. I asked for a settlement figure. At that stage I wanted to pay them money. I made contact even though I seemed to have for what ever reason, a free car. We couldn't agree on an amount, I paid them £400 as an incentive (their word not mine) to come back with a more realistic price. They never came back to me. And they have all my contact details. Always have had. Am I right in thinking that your concern with my situation is that BH have obviously made errors on my account, errors that, for once benefited the customer rather than the lender and you have a problem with that? For some reason you think I should take responsibility for their mistakes? By having a default on my credit file for longer than its supposed to be there for? Really ? And, no I did not have any allowance from my OR for the car. She knew I couldn't afford it, she told BH to sort it out. That's why they came to my house. Before you have another go my OR has been aware of the situation the whole time. I do not need BH to do me a favor by backdating the default. I expect that they will do what is correct.
  15. Weird? well I reckon we are all pretty weird aren't we? There's so much going on with you that must be hard to deal with. But I reckon you can do it. So are you ill or damaged? I really don't know. Damage can cause illness and illness can cause damage. Sounds like you need a rest from your thoughts? I hope you manage to calm down and relax.
  16. Hi mcjohson They can't claim back the shortfall as it was entered into my BR. That's how sure I was in 2008 that the car would be going. The guy from BH came out to my house in 2008 and was given a copy of the full BR. I included everything that could possibly come up. House shortfall in case they sold it for £1.00, tax credits, just in case they ever decided that there was a shortfall. I included everything I could think of. I am going to remind BH just to save them the bother of chasing me. Anything that was running before BR and goes into your BR can not have any negative CRA markings after the date of BR. So it doesn't matter if the default is not removed, as long as its back dated to BR date that's fine for me. All I have to do now is make sure BH realize that.
  17. Please don't watchinginvestigation2011. You have done nothing to hate yourself for. I haven't digested the whole thread yet but saw this from you and felt concerned. There are studies showing an association between epilepsy and schizophrenia. You really need to tell your doctor whats happening to you. You need to be assessed by an experienced psychologist not just a GP. There are people and medication that can help you. You just need to get to them and its your GP who can get you to them. Google epilepsy and schizophrenia and print off what you find and bring it to the doctor. Don't take no for an answer. I met the most amazing man a few weeks ago who has the condition schizophrenia. He runs a self help group for others. He is in Northern Ireland but you could speak to him? I will pm you the groups details. Up to you whether you call or not.
  18. I can't help with the legal aspect at all. Maybe you are stressed out too Steve? About the separation, your dad not being there, watching your mum stressing? Speaking openly and honestly with your mum might be good for both of you. Or maybe with your dad? Believe me your mum will be less stressed out if she knows she has a son who is honest and takes responsibility for his behaviour. Quite sure she won't be happy about whats happened but then neither are you? Think you need to sort this out together. Sorry it's not what you want to hear but good luck.
  19. On their site it appears that you need to phone them to arrange a standing order. You can pay at a paypoint though so you wouldn't have to contact them. Or set up a throw away email and email them asking them to send you the bank details.
  20. Yes. Maybe that's what the journalist should be told. If that was made public HFO might be worried enough to stop libeling people.
  21. Two letters for son today. Call credit report is here! And it is correct! Perfect. Am so relieved that I might even write and congratulate them. No defaults, names correct, DOB correct, address's correct, dates correct. Really makes me wonder if Equifax and Experian are more connected than I had thought. 2nd letter is from Nelson Guest asking son to contact Wescot.I know know that least myself (son) and Equifax have contacted them so I need a really good letter to them. I will also go back to Equifax and o2 and tell them that Wescot are ignoring instructions. Not that they will care but I think they should be made aware that their incorrect data has resulted in this continuous harassment. More letters. Ahhh
  22. Why only £100 as an apology? After a years work and lack of credit. Seems very little for such a lot of inconvenience.
  23. leemack I am still learning forum etiquette. Didn't mean to be rude.
