  1. I pay the monthly statement off by debit card online
  2. I haven't paid yet, payment is due on the 17th November.
  3. I am having problems with the online retailer Studio with two orders I recently made. The first order (order 1) was messed up by Studio and was never added to my online account. Studio admitted that there was a problem with their system and the order is still not showing on my account. Because of this and after several weeks had passed and no sign of this order ever arriving. I created a new order (order 2) which comprised of the same order and a few other items added on. This order went through and added to my account, however there were a few items out of stock and Studio cancelled these items. Now the problems start, I received order 2 except for the out of stock items. However, Studio have billed me fully for all of the items even the out of stock items, can they do this? I have contacted but they appear to be adamant that I have to pay for the items until it is sorted out. I usually pay my bill off monthly in full and I suspect that any money owing will be in the form of a credit note which I do not want. Order number 1 turned up out of the blue after order number 2 still no information on my online account about this order again a few items out of stock and cancelled. I have returned order 1 back to Studio. However, they are insisting that I pay for this order until the problem has been resolved, again I suspect a credit note will be issued. Can Studio operate in this way charging their customers for returned goods and charging for cancelled items? Dreadful company and a company I will never use again, hence I don't want credit notes.
  4. If I apply for chargeback does it matter because I used Paypal for this transaction? My worry is that Paypal will be chasing up that the funding has been removed from this transaction and they will be seeking payment.
  5. I recently purchased a fridge/freezer direct from Haier UK. I changed my mind about the fridge/freezer because there were better offers around and I cancelled the order. However, my Haier online account is still showing that my order is still active. The delivery company that Haier use is showing that the order is cancelled. I have not received a refund and I am now concerned about all of the bad reviews that I have read concerning Haier, I should have done my homework with this company. I paid for the goods through Paypal and the funds were taken from my registered Visa credit card. If I do get problems getting my refund back should I open a resolution with Paypal or contact my credit card company? Not sure if Paypal resolution covers buyer cancelled orders?
  6. I did request a replacement or a refund. The seller still will not offer a replacement. What selling regulations states that unsatisfactory quality goods should be repaired or replaced?
  7. Purchased a set of metal garden furniture, four chairs and a table four months ago from ManoMano and they are now rusting badly. Looks like who manufactured the furniture did not apply sufficient paint to the metalwork. I contacted ManoMano and they are not interested stating that the garden furniture is not covered for rust. Just looking for advice if I have a case to pursue? manomanoa.pdf
  8. I have contacted Asda through email and phone calls and I have informed them that I am going to start small claims proceedings after seven days unless I received my cheque. This was around two weeks ago. Asda recently changed their mobile network from EE to Vodafone and this is where the problem started. My phone was locked to the EE network and Asda could not provide an unlock code to use on their new network. It was agreed that I would be reimburse for the credit in my account and a cheque would be sent out, this was about 3 months ago. My Asda Mobile account was zeroed by Asda Mobile on the day that a refund was to be arranged. My next step is to send a registered letter regarding my claim and 14 days notice to reimburse me before the official small claims commences.
  9. I am starting a small claims against Asda who have emptied my Asda Mobile PAYG account and promised me a refund several months ago. I never received the promised refund after months of communicating with them, they just keep informing me that the cheque is being processed and this has been going on for months. When issuing small claims whom do I address it to? Is it just the company name Asda?
  10. My mistake I thought Cardiagtool was a UK based company because of the co.uk web address. Looks like I will have to report the problem to Paypal.
  11. Yes, I received an email to confirm my order, this had an order number and the status was paid for. I cannot find an address for this company on their webpage, so I am unsure if there is a UK office. Looks like I will have to report the problem to Paypal.
  12. I purchased a tool from Cardiagtool.co.uk this was an online purchase and I paid via paypal. Today, I received an email stating that the price of the tool had increased and I had to pay the extra before the tool would be dispatched. This is the message I received from Cardiagtool "Now price is 32EUR including shipping. Please pay for the price difference 14.89EUR then we will arrange shipping for you." Can online companies do this once the item is paid for?
  13. The bank have already provided information on the name of the person and the address of where the goods were sent to. However, the bank is asking for further evidence. My son is not 100% that the fake paypal email triggered this scam off, which again is probably impossible to prove.
  14. It's difficult to provide evidence that the account was hacked, the only ones that can provide evidence are the scammers themselves.
  15. My son is in his 30's and he is very gullible. The letter from his bank states " that they have contacted the retailer's bank and they believe the transaction to be yours. If you do not recognise this payment contact the retailer as they will be able to provide you with a more detailed information. Should you be able to provide further evidence to support that the transaction was neither made nor authorised by you, please contact us." The bank also provided the delivery address and the name of the retailer. How do you provide further evidence to support a transaction that was not authorised by you when the account was hacked through scammers?
  16. My son was recently scammed through clicking on an email link supposedly from Paypal which then give access to the scammers to his Paypal account. The scammers ordered £280 of goods from an online retailer and were delivered to an address many miles away. My son reported the problem to Paypal who were not concerned and refused to offer a refund. He then reported the problem to his bank, who cancelled the credit card and initially refunded the £280 to his account. Today, he received a letter from his bank which stated that this refund had now been cancelled and his account would now debited for this amount. Any advice please?
  17. Thanks for the replies and the explanation on 'use by' dates. I did have a Tesco delivery a few weeks ago which are very hard to book. What a difference all of the fresh produce had an excellent date before expiry. I will drop Morrisons online delivery and try to stick with Tesco.
  18. I received an online grocery order from Morrisons on the 11/2/21 at 6 pm and I was disappointed with a very short use by date on two of the products, pasties and mince meat. The pasties had a use by date of the 11/2/21 and the mince meat had an expiry date of the 13/2/21. I complained to Morrisons who refunded the pasties but refused to refund the mince meat because they said there were three days of life on the product. My question is what is the time the use by date comes into force? I would have thought that a product with a use by date of the 13/2 should be used by this date i.e. midnight on the 12/2. It seems that these online grocery stores are dumping off short dated to their online customers, if these short dated products were sold in store they would be put on the discounted section due to having a short date.
  19. Unfortunately due to us shielding we have no choice other than to do online shopping.
  20. This is the reply message I had from Asda when I complained about the selling of out of date products "We sell products right up until their Best before or Use by date to minimise food waste. When items are close to their date, we normally reduce them or remove them from sale at the end of the Use by day. I'm sorry this didn't happen on this occasion."
  21. It's definitely the 'use by' date, that's why I am so concerned. Asda refund was refused at first and I had to go through the asda ceo to get a refund. Morrisons order was no problem and they issued a refund when I informed them of the problem. This just shouldn't happen and the selling of short use by products online should be regulated.
  22. You are lucky, what online grocery store are you using? I have had two online deliveries recently, first one was with asda where the majority of the products had one day left of the use by date, and there was one product three days past it use by date. Second delivery was with Morrisons with some products with a one day left before use by date.
  23. That's different information that I have read regarding 'use by' products which states that these products must not be consumed after the use by date because of the risk of food poisoning.
  24. Like I said previously there should be some regulation in place to prevent products with a very short use by date for online grocery orders.
  25. Don't think the driver will wait around due to the covid situation and the time involved checking each item of a large order. Ideally it should be that 'use by' products should have at least three days left before they expire for any online purchase.
